1) Installation
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Installing HC Security on the admin's machine from which
observing and tracking will be executed:
System Requirements for Admin s PC:
Processor > 1 GHz / 1 GB RAM / 30 GB HDD / 100 MB LAN
Operating system: Windows All
- Run file hcsecurity_setup.exe on the admin's
machine and follow the installation steps provided.
- Start the HC Security Admin program.

Installing the program on the employees machines that will be observed:
System Requirements for employees PCs:
Processor > 1 GHz / 512 MB RAM / 30 GB HDD / 100 MB LAN
Operating system: Windows All
- The HC Security Employee program can be installed on 1 250 machines of the netwo
rk.
Installation via GUI:
- Run file hcsecurity_setup.exe on the employee's
machine and follow the installation instructions provided.
- Enter a password for safety and use it in HC Security Admin
program (connection properties).
Quick installation from command line:
- Copy the <servemp_quicksetup.exe> file from the <HCEmployeeQuickInstaller>
folder to any drive or folder.
- Start it from command line with keys: servemp_quicksetup.exe ps=XXX port=N hid
e=1
XXX - a password for the HC Employee program, length of the password must be
less than 32 chars without spaces, the same password you must use in connection
properties for this employee on the admin's machine.
Without "ps=" key the password will be empty.
N - a port from 3 to 65535, if you will not enter a port,
it will be 4010 by default.
If you wish to install the 'HC Security Employee' program in the 'hidden' mod
e just set the 'hide=1' key.
- The HC Security Employee program will be ran automatically
at each loading of Windows.

2) About HC Security software

HC Security is an easy-to-use and extremely effective
employee monitoring solution that increases productivity several
folds by eliminating any PC activity not directly related to work.
This is how HC Security works after the software is installed,
a admin (supervisor, business owner) can see what s going on
the employees PC monitors (active window or full-screen, dual-monitor)
and office through webcams real time and in off-line mode.
Up to 250 user PCs are supported and the program can be set up
to automatically save screenshots / snapshots at specified intervals.
The product records voice via microphones and then play any mp3 audio file.
While an admin can continuously monitor employees (which
makes sense during training or when an employee is suspected
of misconduct), this is truly an exhausting task. Quickly looking
through saved screenshots takes less then 1 minute per employee
and can be done by any authorized staff member. Split-screen
mode is supported (up to 250 screens in one simultaneously).
The program starts working as soon as monitored PC is being booted.
The off-line work time counter allows to see all statistic
information about work time of any employee.
After the program was originally released, Oleansoft inquired
about program effectiveness. It turned out that in all companies
that publicly announced implementation of HC Security and
demonstrated how it works, there was not a single incident of
employees playing games or visiting adult sites.
After other employees got caught and fired for imitating work
(for example, by opening Word documents but not actually
working with them for hours) the productivity of the rest jumped 25-400%.
The knowledge of the fact that an employee could be watched
(which should be reinforced infrequently by phone calls, presenting
prints of screenshots or making comments) turned out to be enough.
Some companies found other uses for HC Security.
The program is being successfully used for remote education
and presentations, help-desk services and mutual collaboration
on various projects.
