51ST ALUMNI HOMECOMING CELEBRATION

Search for Alumni King and Queen
Introduction/Description
The search for Alumni King and Queen is a 50/50 pageant competition. 50% will be for beauty and brain plus the
talent, exposures and the like and 50% will be for the money, to be participated by cluster.
All candidates must represent only one cluster.
Batches 1966 to 2004 will pick their candidates from batches 2005-2015
The candidate will compete for the following categories:
1) Money
2) Popularity vote (online)
3) Festival Costume
4) Indigenous Attire
5) Sports wear
6) Swim wear
7) Casual Attire
8) Long Gown
9) Talent Presentation
10) Koratsa Dance
11) Question and Answer Portion
Objectives
To be able to showcase the hidden talents of the graduates of GMNAS
To set up a friendly competition among clusters/batches
To impart to the graduates of GMNAS the uprightness and cooperation
Qualification
Candidates must be graduate of GMNAS and duly registered member of GMNAS-GAA.
At least 18 to 31 years old.
General Guidelines
The contestant warrants that his/her performance shall not infringe the rights of or embarrass any person, batch, firm
or company
The search committee reserves the right to disqualify candidates who exhibit unprofessional attitude which may
cause any delay or other related problems in producing the pageant
All candidates are required to attend rehearsals and all-related activities of the pageant
No candidates shall manifest any form of act that is unacceptable to human standard of conduct
Any complaints against the proceeding of this contest must be put into writing by the candidate herself/himself or
his/her legal representative 24 hours before or after the pageant, properly addressed to the Chairpersons of the
Search Committee
The first up to the last canvas of the candidates money will be scheduled by the committee
Each partner will present a Koratsa dance number, and they will be given a chance to choose between Koratsa
Mayor and Koratsa Minor
All candidates will have a page in the souvenir programs
Talents Presentation
There will be a Pre-Talent presentation to showcase every candidates talent.
The Final Talents presentation will be done at the date scheduled by the committee.
Each candidate must showcase a talent presentation for a maximum of FIVE (5) minutes only including the entrance
and exit. Every minute excess over the allowed time will be equivalent to 5 points deduction. Technical problems
will not affect the allotted time.
Tapes and CDs shall be submitted to the operator 15 minutes before the start of the pageant
Pageant Exposure
The following shall be the pageant exposure:
a. Production Number e. Evening Gown and Elegant Terno
b. Casual Attire Competition f. Sports Attire Competition
c. Costume: Festival Attire/Indigenous Attire g. Q&A Portion
d. Swim Wear
The Top 5 Candidates will be chosen base on the following criteria

In the Final Round, previous scores will be disregarded and the Top 5 will be rated based on the performance on the
following criteria:

Awards
This pageant offers two sets of awards namely:
A. 8 Major Awards
Alumni Homecoming Queen/King 50% the total money she/he earned from the canvas.
1st runner- up 40% the total money she/he earned from the canvas
2nd runner-up 30% the total money she/he earned from the canvas
3rd runner-up 20% the total money she/he earned from the canvas
B. 12 Minor Awards
Best in Talent
Best in Production Number
Best in Koratsa Dance
Best in Casual Attire
Best in Evening Gown and Elegant Terno
Best in Sports Attire
Best in Swim Wear
Best in Festival Attire

Mr. and Miss Professionalism
Mr. and Miss Photogenic
Peoples Choice
The basis for choosing Mr. and Miss Professionalism will be their attitude towards others, their punctuality,
cooperation and the like.
Online voting will be the basis for giving the Peoples Choice Award. Wherein every like is equivalent to fifty pesos
(50.00), failure to pay for the said amount within one week will not be included in the computation of the total vote
of the candidate.
The candidate to be proclaimed as the Alumni King and Queen will receive a crown and a trophy as a symbol of
their victory and will also receive cash and certificate from the alumni. She/he can also have the chance to be the
face/model to represent the school.

Float Design
Introduction/Description:
The Float Design is a competition of designs and creativity of floats according to the theme of the celebration using
POTPOT to be participated by batch.
General Guidelines:
The competition is open to all competing teams for the celebration of the 51st Alumni Homecoming. Each competing
team shall use their creativity to build up their entry.

Only the bona fide graduate of GMNAS and duly registered member of GMNAS-GAA are allowed to participate in
the decoration, set-up and beautification of the float, otherwise the team shall suffer commensurate deduction of
points under creativity and resourcefulness criteria, such deduction shall be the discretion of the board of judges.
Any form of design/dcor that is unacceptable to human conduct is strictly prohibited.
There should be only one entry per competing team.

Street Dancing
Introduction/Description
Street dancing is a dance competition to be perform by batch. This competition will be done during the town parade
on August 23, 2017.
General Guidelines:
The individuals composing each entry must be a bona fide graduate of GNMAS and duly registered member of
GMNAS-GAA.
The group should be composed of minimum 10 members and maximum of 30 members.
The costumes of each individual should also be match with the theme of the celebration.
The competing team is given a privilege to choose their own music provided that they are in accordance with
acceptable standards.
The use of flammable material, live animals offensive and immoral costumes and actions are prohibited and shall
disqualified.
The group may use any form of dance movements in their presentation.
All members of each group must be present at the venue 15 minutes before the parade starts.

Each contestant must present only one song. He/she will be given 5 minutes to perform, including the
entrance and exit. A two point deduction for every minute beyond the allocated time will be imposed on
their total points. Timer starts the moment the host calls the entry.
During the contest proper, every entry will be called twice by the host, if after the said calls no contestants
appears on the stage, the entry will be automatically disqualified and the next performer shall be called.
All contestants must be present at the venue 30 mins before the shot get started.
Battle of Band
Introduction/Description:
Battle of the bands is a contest in which two or more bands compete for the title of the Best Band. This will be
participated by the different band in the region. The proclaimed winner of the said contest will be the one to perform for the
alumni ball.
General Guidelines
Each group will perform any music as long as there is no obscene, lewd, or green words in the lyrics in the first 20
minutes the group is will be given a privilege to choose the music they want and on the last 25 minutes it should be a
Bisaya or Waray-Waray song. They will be given only 45 minutes to perform their choice of music.
