A Code Orange Air Quality Alert for OZONE has been issued for
Hamilton County. Air quality levels are forecast to be 101.

50% of the population irritation to eyes, nose and throat
could be at risk, including: coughing, wheezing
Children chest tightness, pain
The elderly aggravated asthma
People with respiratory increase risk of lung illnesses
diseases like asthma
Active children and adults, the elderly, and
people with lung disease, such as asthma,
should limit strenuous outside activity.

REDUCE EXPOSURE
plan strenuous activity when pollution levels are lower

reduce the amount of time spent at vigorous activity



choose less strenuous activity (e.g., walk instead of jog)

What can you do to help?


Drive less - combine errands into one trip
Carpool, telecommute, or take the bus
Limit engine idle
Postpone lawn care
Turn up the thermostat 2-4 degrees
