teacher.Beforeyouhandinyourfinalproposal,youshoulddraftapre-proposal
anddiscuss/developitwithyourBlackstonecoach.

SeniorProjectProduct

EachSeniorProjectwillresultinaproductofsomesort.Thisproductshouldbea
logicalandclearmanifestationofyourresearch,investigation,thinking,andwork.
Aproductcouldbeanythingfromaprofessionalresearchpapertoaperformanceto
apainting.TheproductofeachSeniorProjectwillbeassessedusingthegeneral
criteriaontherubric.Somestudentscompleteajournalasproductiftheyare
doingaparticularlyexperientialproject.

Projectsneedtobebasedonaquestionandbegintoaddressaneedinaparticular
industry/community.Theprojectmustdemonstrateapplicationoflearningand
skillsrelatedtotheresearchpapertopicthatshowcasestheapplicationof

InGenderStudies,wecreatedadocumentaryaboutgenderstereotypes.
Sometopicsthatwecoveredweresexualassaultoncollegecampuses,violence
againstwomenandsexualizingwomeninthemedia.Weplantohaveashowingof
thisdocumentaryafterschool.Ihavetakenchargeofthisshowingaspartofmy
seniorproject.Iamworkingwithafewotherstudentstodevelopaplanastowhat
wearegoingtodo.Someofmyideasincludeofhavingalittlebackgroundinfo
session,showingthedocumentaryandthenhavingadebriefingsession.
ThesecondpartofmyprojectishavingaspeakerfromtheGreenDot
organizationcomeinandassistmewithaprojectonbystanderintervention.Iplan
onhavingthejuniorsandseniorsbemyaudience.Imetwithoneofthemembersof
thisorganizationandsheagreedtohelpmewithorganizingthepowerpoint.Iplan
onhavingalittlebackgroundinformationsession,havingthespeakerspeakand
thendoingsomeactivitieswithstudents.Someactivitiesincludepresenting
hypotheticalsituationsandaskingeachadvisorytotellhowtheywouldreacttoit.
