STEM is Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM is a term that refers

to the academic disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Science is

everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of

our lives. Engineering is the basic designs of roads and bridges, but also tackles the challenges of

changing global weather and environmentally friendly changes to our home. Mathematics is in

every occupation, every activity we do in our lives It is typically used when addressing education

policy and curriculum choices in schools to improve competitiveness in science and technology

Development. It may be used to relevant managerial fields, manufacturing and processing areas,

as well as building and architecture. STEM is important because it pervades every part of our

day lives. Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding

into every aspect of our lives.Biologist or microbiologist Chemist Bio Chemist or biophysicist

Mathematician Statistician Engineer: Aerospace, industrial, biotechnology, chemical, marine,

materials, civil, petroleum Engineering manager Atmospheric or space scientist Geoscientist or

materials scientist Surveying and mapping technician are a few careers that involves or use

STEM. Hydrologist , my favorite career Architect ,Naval architect ,Architectural or civil drafter

Materials lab and supply technician Quality technician Nuclear equipment operation or

monitoring technicians Technical writer Post-secondary education vocational teacher are also

some jobs that are related with STEM. Architect involves mathematics, technology and science.I

researched all these jobs and some tell you which one it stands or falls under and some just say it

relates to STEM.

How each part of stem is related to each other? Their connections are important!

Though people tend to think of science, engineering, and technology as three separate things,

theyre actually closely connected. Scientists use the technologies that engineers create to

conduct their research. When engineers start to design a new technology, they call on the

knowledge of the natural world developed by scientists. Engineering, science, and technology

connect to and influence each other.Engineering, science, and technology influence and

influenced by society. Our values, needs, and problems often determine what questions scientists

investigate and what problems engineers tackle. Meanwhile the technologies that are the

products of science and engineering influence society and change human culture of the impacts

of cars and cell phones. Science and engineering are very much related to each other

Engineering is basically the application of science you can understand this with the help of a

very simple example. You take a rubber band .Science says that it has elastic property which

means that you can pull the rubber band to a certain extent and when you release it.Then it

comes back to original position.Same science is applied in making of tubes for tyres.

It also has the same property of rubber band but only quality of material is different.

So making of tubes is an engineering process because the material is changed but the science

behind it is Same as of rubber band. Science provides knowledge of the world. Engineers use

scientific knowledge to build tools. Mathematics is related to all of the other parts of Stem.

Technology is in Mathematics in many ways Ill tell you how. For each company, construct a

piecewise function that represents monthly cost as a function of the number of minutes.

Graph the functions on a graph, with the number of minutes on the x-axis and the monthly cost

on the y-axis.Consider the following questions and write an essay explaining your findings.

Include your data table and graphs, in addition to any additional supporting evidence.

We use stem everyday, every second, minute and hour. I dont think we would make it

without science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It is almost impossible to list every

discipline, some common STEM areas that are aerospace engineering, astrophysics, astronomy,

biochemistry, biomechanics, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, computer

science, mathematical biology, nanotechnology, neurobiology, nuclear physics, physics, and

robotics, among many, many others. As evidenced by the multitude of disciplines, its clear that

STEM fields affect virtually every component of our everyday lives. The architecture industry is

centered on math, as is urban development and city planning. Medical research is fueled by the

study of chemistry and biology, and environmental efforts like sustainable energy and nuclear

power are also steeped in the sciences. Its impossible to find a part of society that does not, in

some way, interact with these subjects, and since so many of these industries are coordinated by

or connected to our government at some level, its safe to say that the very governing of our

country depends on them.We use Technology everyday when we use our phones and computers.

When we drive our cars we are using Science and Technology. Pretty much everything we do in

our daily lives consists of science underlying it. From using a simple calculator, to closing of the

door as well as using bigger washing machines, the entire world is made of science and its

numerous innovations have only made it easier for us to spend our lives more comfortably than

ever. Without science and its inventions, the society will surely reach the stone ages and we will

no longer be able to live a sophisticated life. Like Imagine your life without electricity, fuel,

vehicles and plastic. You would be useless and incomplete. The flying of a simple kite involves

science in the fact that it involves the angle of elevation, speed as well as distance is science.

Using Engineering in our everyday lives is a little hard for me to say. Cars needed engineers to

design them, roads require civil engineers, mobile phones and computers need electrical

engineers. Mechanical engineers design air-conditioning systems building require engineers to be

built, bikes, aeroplanes, satellites, electricity pylons, power stations, water pipes, all these require

engineers to make them and keep them working. Engineers build airports, hospitals, fire engines,

furniture, games consoles. Software engineers are used by an incredible amount of industries,

from television broadcasters, to the hospital beds that be worked on.

The careers that I'm going to talk about and how they are related to stem is Computer

Programmers and Architecture.Computer Programmers are people who writes programs for the

operation of computers, especially as an occupation. A computer programmer is a skilled

professional who codes, tests, debugs, and maintains the comprehensive instructions known as

computer programs that devices should follow to execute their functions. They turn the program

designs created by software developers and engineers into instructions that a computer can

follow. Computer Programmers use all of the parts of STEM. Algebra is used to solve simple

problems that many Computer Programmers will encounter.Architecture encompasses all

aspects of stem science, technology, engineering and math. Architectural engineering, also

known as building engineering, is the application of engineering principles and technology to

building design and construction. An engineer in the structural, mechanical, electrical,

construction or other engineering fields of building design and construction. In this field you use

mathematics and engineering. Math is all around us, in our devices , in making our buildings and

in our careers.Architects use math in several areas of design and construction, from planning the

blueprints or initial sketch design to calculating potential structural problems that a site may

encounter. Architects employ geometry, for example, when they use the Pythagorean theorem to

calculate the size and shape of a structure. They use math in several areas of design and
