In this article Rerick talks about the importance of kids playing sports in high
school. .The main goal within their department is making sure the students are
enjoying their time in the program they are in . They want them to have fun. If athletes
want to play multiple sports, they hope their parents are supportive of them. They have
so much pressure on them so sports is kind of thing they look forward to everyday.

In this article they talk about the benefits of being in high school sports and how it can help kids
out. It cn help with weight control, self esteem issues, problem solving skills, social competence,
academic achievement, and it can also lead to reduced juvenile arrests, teen pregnancies, and
school drop outs. The health benefits have been proven in the past twenty years that kids have
been healthier. Not only can it lead to decreases in obesity but better eating habits.

In this article the author explains how sports can help a kid out with social and physical benefits.
that more than 97% of student athletes graduated high school, 10% higher than those students
who had never participated. Physical activity naturally increases blood flow to the brain and
activates endorphins, chemicals that are released when you exercise. Endorphins can impact your
mood and work performance which means athletes may be more willing to do more with their
life. Athletes were also shown to have better G.P.A than non athlete students.

In this article the author talks about the benefits between athletes and non-athletes. They tend to
have better attendance records, higher self esteem and more self discipline, female students
receive just as many personal benefits and satisfaction as guys do, and students that participate in
sports and more likely to graduate high school. They also tend to pursue a better future for

In this article the author shows how kids that play sports in high school have a higher chance of
succeeding in life. Students have the opportunity to meet kids with the same intention in life and
they can push each other to reach their goals. Students on sports teams find a sense of
brotherhood with their respective teammates, enabling them to form friendships and not only

a will to get up and do something achieve goals to have a successful life. Students have to do
well in school in order to play sports therefore students who play sports have better grades. Even
studies were done in the 90s and got the same advantages as now a days.
