Part 2 of Assignment 8: Critical Analysis

1) Analysis of own video:

Next year I will be studying in Nantes, so I picked my friend Alexander Karsai who
had studied last year in Paris as a marketing student.
Things I learned from the interview:
- Alex was kind of negative about his school last year. Because he had big
expectations and those werent really filled in.
- He talks about the lack of motivation in general at his previous school.
- I have learned from Alex that French people are quite open. Especially the
students. The general mindset of the students is quite different from those
of the older generations. I remembered that you should open to them and
really shouldnt be afraid. And that they are curious in the Belgian culture,
as it is unknown to them.
- The conservatism of the Belgian people bothers him. (He is half French,
half Belgian. But he grew up in France, so he doesnt consider himself as a
Fleming.)
- You should really go on Erasmus and make the most of it, because its
certainly an added value.
- Its important to document yourself about the school and region and talk to
people who went there last year.

2) Analysis of other video:

Sietse Lehembre & Petra Vijncke
Things I learned from the interview:
- Ms Vijncke switch after three months from English to German, as she was
confident enough to speak it.
- The Erasmus experience changed Ms Vijncke a lot. She became more
extravert and opened up her mind.
- She learned to be independent, especially on financial basis. She learned
to save money and do things more economically.
- She is a very autonomous person, but she got to know new people and
eventually did things in group.
I actually picked some things up from Sietses interview. He asked good questions
and it was very interesting to listen to.

3) Self-assessment
Outcomes after watching I have learnt I still have to learn
the videos and analysing because
