To improve the cooperative learning experience, you could give each student a number between

1 and 5. All the 1s will work together, All the 2s, etc. Each group will work together to make
one paragraph (Introduction, Body Paragraph 1, etc.). Then when they finish they will rejoin
their original group and put the paragraphs together to make a complete essay.
Work on managing your time better.
Make sure your Pre activities match what you want them to do in the While stage.
Make sure the essay question matches the type of essay you want them to write.
You should add an assessment (either formative or summative) to determine to that extent
they have understood the learning objectives of the class.
Please create a number of assessments during your remaining lessons that you teach.
