Grade Level/Subject:7th-Math
was Assessment.
A quiz was give to let the teacher and student see if they are meeting
the criteria and understand the concept of solving an equation.
I learned that having quizzes is a benefit for both the teacher and the
student because they both will figure out if the student will be
needing more support to increase their understanding and progress in
the certain subject that was being assessed on.
An assessment sees if a student can use their knowledge and skills to
be able to solve an equations like:
(2 x + 4)=16
Students were able to see if they have progressed and if they really
understand the concept as they think they do. Hopefully this
assessment helped students understand that some of them need to
increase their study habits and spend more time to practice to be able
to pass the subjects criteria.
Students were able to get their assessments back after getting them
graded, and see their mistakes and were able to do test corrections.
Others who did not do the greatest were sent with helpers like the
teachers and project care volunteer.
How often should these progress quizzes be given? Should they be
given when teachers think that their students are struggling or cant
tell who is understanding or not.
