A CVMS student immediately reported seeing the gun to an administrator. At that time appropriate action was taken and the student was isolated and searched. As with all matters of student safety, we have taken this incident very seriously and all required actions for discipline are being implemented for this student. Please help us as we encourage all of our students to report any incident that could be considered a potential safety risk. Students must report any incident of this nature to a teacher or administrator. Any event that could put students at risk or in danger, even a toy gun, must be reported immediately. I want to thank the students who provided us with the information necessary to investigate and bring this incident to closure.
