8 + 7-Digit Dialing Guide

Introduction
A new 7-Digit Dialing service is available at Freeport-McMoRan. This quick reference guide will
provide an introduction to the new system.

What is 7-Digit Dialing?

7-Digit Dialing is a process used for making telephone calls within Freeport-McMoRans private
network infrastructure. Using the 7-Digit Dialing system eliminates toll-charges normally
associated with the public telephone network.

Making Calls using 7-Digit Dialing

Similar to making an outside telephone call with digit-9, digit-8 is now used to make on-network
telephone calls to mostly all Freeport-McMoRan locations using the 7-Digit Dialing system.
Examples are attached to this memo.

There are two places to check for an employee or contractors Internal Dial number telephone
number.

1.) Using Phone Book Application

Open FMweb and type the employee or contractors name in the Phone Book application, as
noted below:

The Internal Dial numbers appears below:

2.) Using Outlooks Address Book

In the event that the internal 7-Digit Dialing network is unavailable, continue to dial with digit-9
and use the fully qualified telephone number.

For example, under the Business 2 field, dial 9-1-602-366-8040.
