I can say with confident that my writing has improve significantly since the

beginning of semester. As can now properly cite and write in MLA; my grammar has

improved although I still rely spellcheck more than I prefer to. As collectively, I

believed that this will serve me well in future paper in the upcoming years of college

and afterward.

In term of academic writing and my ability to execute it. I would like to

improve it to the standard that I desire, as I had some knowledge of writing in an

academic format prior to joining English 102 and 101. I failed to construct a solid

augment to my claims without digressing to other topics of lesser relevant. As Im

capable to relay topic and idea within logical reason simultaneously with other

ideas, although I must admit that I have greater difficulty with more conceptual

ideas of emotion and imagery. This is primary limited in fictional literature, but

textbook and political criticism such as Orwell 1984 and Animal Farm, I have no

problems. This was problematic to me as my previous English classes was primary

in fictional literature with assignment focusing on the theme and imagery of the

material. Granted that this class lets the class argue about the material and the

material was more logical in comparison to my pass experiences to English. This

was a contributing factor of me about to improve beyond my initial expectation.

In researching and critical thinking, I know that excel in finding information

and able to think about the material in a logical manner, but the blooms taxonomy

of critical thinking was something new to me. That did alter my method of thinking

to the material presented. But overall, did improve my understanding in critical

think for both in and out of the class. As Im typically active with my responses in

class, so that hasnt changed much. This isnt the case in management of reaching

reading quotas or writing(initially).

My management of work within that class is adequate, I personally dislike

reading literature as I found form of median to be more effective for me to learn.

But I had managed with audiobook from YouTube and my pre-existing interest with

the material. This allow to have a longer retention and more engaged with the

material without reaching complete boredom due to either writers block or general

lack of interest. This boredom had sometimes lead me to misallocate my time and

resources towards other things, like going on the internet for find something that

interested me. This misallocation of time did impact the quality of my work but I

learn rather quickly that the important of time management. As clock or

background music usually alleviated that boredom to varying effect. But today I do

allocate time dedicated to writing for assignment like thing one, although not

consistency due to other classes I must have account for.

Overall, Im able to construct argument with a strong thesis and writing in

academic rhetoric in MLA; much better than my initial entry to the course. This is

due in-part to my time in the class and the realization of the important of relaxing

once in a while.
