Video installations are the art form to create moving imagery for a visual
and audio medium. They can be presented in either galleries, museums
or exhibitions. This is an abstract way of promoting the artists work and
they are emotions towards a certain subject. Non Narrative

This then lend on to more artists trying the idea out, and putting their artwork in a form, which is

He involved music of all sounds, even nonmusical sounds to show the absence of sound. It gives the
chance of the audience to hear and feel the sounds of the environment. He embraced the
randomness of ambient sounds in his piece and this is why he grew more popular by the public. This
was shown on a presentation board, in exhibitions so that people could be in a confined area and get
right into their feelings and emotions. Installation art can be either temporary or permanent, being

would show this in my own production as I want to make sound a big part of the production, to
make the audience feel something different and engage with the content more and come up with
their own story lines based on their own situation.

The intentions of the audience is to paramount in later installations whose artists love the

Another artist whose work I enjoy is Tony Oursler. A pioneer new media
artist who explores the effects of technology on the human mind. His work
includes talking streetlights, an eight foot long five dollar, and others,

things. He invites his audience to mini-dramas, to engage their humor and
disturb them at the same time. I like this piece of work as it is weird and
abnormal in some ways, becoming more interesting and this shows the
development over the years and how the artists think in order to make a
remarkable piece or art. This would be shown in mine as I want the
audience to get involved with their emotions and to play mind games on
them so that the art I am showing sticks with them and that they will
remember the work I am showing.

Installation is one of the most popular forms of modern artworks. The artist takes
into account the sensory experience, rather than random points of focus on a basic
wall. The roots of this from the 1970s have developed over time from being shown
in a spinning box, to being published on the side of a massive building block. There
are a lot more avenues in expressing their thoughts and feelings, and manipulating
the audiences feelings added from ideas and technology mixing and creating
something brilliant. It is a way of expressing reality and that is why artists choose
to do it in this form, as time goes on more artists express themselves through this,
and this has been helped over the years of fast advancement which is shown above.
