CHECK LIST SYSTEM ACID FLARE

Preparation
1 Mechanical Completion for Main Flare System has been achieved For initial start up
(include PLC, loop test, function test, merger test, continuity test, only
etc).
2 Supporting utility for Power Generation System is available (GI/GU,
Power, Fire Water, Nitrogen).
3 Ensure all spare part for the package is available
4 Ensure minimum LPG Bottle is available and connected to system For initial start up
via BAR 2009 1 as drawing attached. only

Note: If LP fuel gas available, switch supply gas from LPG fuel gas.
Manual Execution Acid Flare (FFG Ignition)
1 Open and close any drain valves in the FFG lines to ensure that
there is no water accumulation in these lines.

2 Turn On Local Control Panel 381-LCP-1002.
3 Turn the selector switch Auto/Manual to Manual position.
1. Manual indicator lamp (381-UI-1012) will be ON (Amber)
2. Pilot-off indicator lamp will be ON (green)
4 Open manual ball valve:
381-BAF-1314
381-BAF-1316
381-BAF-1317
381-BAF-1318
5 Close manual ball valve 381-BAF-1015
6 See pressure indicator (381-PI-1104) at 1/2 instrument air line
Range pressure 0-30 psig
7 See pressure indicator (381-PI-1105) at 1/2 instrument air line
Range pressure 0-30 psig
8 See pressure indicator (381-PI-1106) at 1/2 instrument air line
Range pressure 0-60 psig
9 See front door of local control panel (381-LCP-1002), to analyze
which line will be send fire ball/ignition
Pilot-off indicator lamp shall be ON condition (green)
10 Choose one pilot we want to ignite first by opening the 1 valve
(381-BAF-1306/7/8)
One of the 1 valve is opened while others are remained close.

11 Press FFG MANUAL . Please push momentary only, do not hold


more than 3 seconds.
Spark is generated in Ignition Chamber
12 See sight port of ignition chamber
Fire ball is generated. Pilot fuel gas line will maintain fire at pilot
gas line
13 Check wether Ignition process is succeededor not
Pilot-off indicator lamp is OFF
14 If ignition process is succeeded, close all ball valves (1/2 and 1)
Fire is extinguised (see sight port)
15 Repeat step 3-11 to ignite other pilot
If all pilots are successfully ignited, indicator lamp (381-UI-1014)
will be ON (Red) and all pilot-off indicator lamp will be OFF
Auto Execution Acid Flare (FFG Ignition)
1 Open and close any drain valves in the FFG lines to ensure that
there is no water accumulation in these lines.

2 Turn on Local Control Panel 381-LCP-1002.
3 Turn the selector switch Auto/Manual to Auto position

5 See pressure indicator (381-PI-1104) at 1/2 instrument air line
Range pressure 0-30 psig
6 See pressure indicator (381-PI-1105) at 1/2 instrument air line
Range pressure 0-30 psig
7 See pressure indicator (381-PI-1106) at 1/2 instrument air line
Range pressure 0-60 psig
8 Press SYSTEM START to produce spark plug ignition chamber
1. Spark is generated in IGT. Chamber
2. Shut off valve (381-XV-1103/4/5) will active and controlled
by PLC
3. Sequence of ignition begin
9 See indicator lamp for shut-off valve (381-XV-1103/4/5) on local

control panel for fire ball delivery to each pilot


Opened Shut off valve indicator lamp (381-UI-1018/19/20) will
turn on (Green)
10 See sight port of IGT. Chamber
Fire ball is generated
11 See Pilot indicator lamp (381-UI-1015/16/17)
Pilot indicator lamp will be off
12 Repeat step no. 9-11 untill all pilots are ON
If all pilots are successfully ignited, indicator lamp (381-UI-1014)
will be ON (Red) and all pilot-off indicator lamp will be OFF
