2. Learning objectives:
You will acquire skills and abilities comprising correct pronunciation and
intonation, formation of simple, grammatically and semantically correct German
sentences, and basic spelling rules.
You will be able to read texts at a basic level (signs, posters, catalogues).
Youll learn to make simple statements in everyday situations both in written
(forms, postcards) and in oral form (introducing oneself, welcoming and saying
goodbye, apologizing, enquiring, agreeing and disagreeing, expressing likes and
dislikes).
The course objectives correspond with the skills described for level A 1
(breakthrough) of the CEF. The course aims at providing an intermediate level of
German, enabling students to cope with everyday communicative situations,
mainly in a university setting, with simple language means. It focuses on the
development of oral communication skills.

You will get the certificate 2 weeks after your final exam. You can collect it at
Ms Michls office, room 402. (Sometimes it may take a little longer.)
If you leave Germany earlier, submit an envelope with your address and an
appropriate postage stamp on it. We will send your certificate to your home
address.
