1. What requirements must you meet in order to study abroad? (i.e. GPA, etc.)
Students can study abroad as a sophomore, junior, or first semester

senior. Students must have a 2.75 cumulative GPA for semester

programs, and a 2.5 cumulative GPA for summer programs. Graduate

students are also eligible to study abroad. Students cannot study abroad

their last semester at NC A&T or as a second-semester freshman.

Transfer students must earn an NC A&T GPA before studying abroad.

2. What are the three (3) different types of study abroad programs available to

students?
Students must have a 2.75 cumulative GPA for semester programs, and a
2.5 cumulative GPA for summer programs.

3. What are the deadlines for applying for study abroad?


Spring: October 14
Summer: March 15
Fall: March 15
4. What are three different ways that you can raise money to fund your trip?
Students can use their financial aid package (loans, grants) and
scholarships to finance their experience overseas. Students are
encouraged to apply for the OIP Travel Grant and to apply for the
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. Visit our financial aid and
scholarships resource section for additional information on financing your
experience abroad.

5. Name two (2) scholarships that can fund you for your trip and how you meet the

requirements?
OIP Travel Grant and Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship.
6. Where would you like to travel to for your study abroad experience and why?
I was thinking Japan, to see where animation had started and get a great
insight on how they make it. Also was thinking Italy because it would be
another culture adventure and see new things while studying for school.

7. Does A&T offer this as an option? If not, then what would be your second choice

destination?
Yes, you can study aboard to both.
