To Whom It May Concern,

The goal of this letter is to inform you of an opportunity in the interest of your company.
My associates and I believe that the packaging methods currently used for the product
Cinnamon Toast Crunch as well as other cereal products are a detriment to the interests of your
company due to a waste of space, wasted material, wasted opportunity to display the brand name,
and the alienation of environmentally conscious consumers. Our revision to eliminate excess is a
simple one: Shorten the dimensions of your packaging while keeping the current amount of
product the same.

The first benefit is simple, there would be an immediate reduction in overall cost of
packaging due to less material used, that would, overtime, greatly outway any immediate
investment in manufacturing.
Secondly, this would further increase your ratio of cost to income per box, as you could
store, with our suggested revision, 18% more product per package with 15% less packaging
material.*
Thirdly, the modern consumer is massively infatuated with environmentally protective
action. Any noticeable change will draw attention, free advertising, which opens the door to a
strongly worded statement by General Mills swaying public opinion in a manifestly positive
fashion. (Boxes could read Now with 18% less wasted space, and 15% more environmentally
friendly!.*
Finally, fourthly, even the hardy consumers not impressed by aforementioned new
designs will be positively bombarded by the dramatic increase in product presence and brand
amount that comes with an increase in supply, this is because with our modification a new box,
complete with labelling will be completed, with equal cost to the previous design(!) for every six
boxes.

We sincerely believe that a modification to your products would be a brilliant change in

the interest of your company and our environments future. Even a reworking not identical to our
own but in the same manner, decreasing height while maintaining identical product amount,
would be beneficial. Regardless of whether or not changes are implemented,

Regards,
