latterincludeChemistry,Physics,Biology,Earthscience,AstronomyandEnergy.Luisais
amongthegroupof15studentswhospentlonghourspreparingforthecompetition.This
didthisatschoolasagroupandindividuallyathome.Duetoherleadershipprowess,
Luisawasabletocoachthemiddleschoolteamfortheircompetition.Thepreparationtook
severalmonthsandLuisamadesurethatallthestudentsstayedontask.

Luisahasastrongdesiretoworkbeyondexpectations,shetooktutoringclassesfrom
studentvolunteersfromtheJetPropulsionLaboratoriesandtheUniversityofSouthern
California.Sheearnedacertificateofcompletion.

Community service:

Luisa voluntarily participated on a community day of service on 10/04/2014.

She participated in a marathon fund raiser, the Foshay 5K run in her 10th grade. To show
her good citizenship, she participated in the local primary elections

Due to her gregariousness and empathetic nature, Luisa has been a blood donor
on three consecutive years in her 10th, 11th and 12th grades.
