It is important to recognize the powerful influence of music so that we
understand the importance of guarding what music we allow to fill our minds.
If we recognize music as an avenue for communicating, we can utilize it as a
tool to further the name of Christ. Music can prompt our own hearts to worship
and provide an avenue to worship together as a body of believers. It can also
be used in discipleship or mentoring, as it is a great tool to connect with kids
and teens. In addition, music can be an avenue for outreach through writing
worship music and having worship events that incorporate the Gospel
message. We serve an incredible, creative God, and music is just one tool that
we can use to glorify His name.
