Assessment for Learning:

Ask question for example, what shape you have learned?
How many sides does Hexogen have?

General Comments
Students learned all the shapes expect few of them the hexogen was
difficult of them.

Recommendations / Future personal targets / Areas of focus

In future I will use the same ideas of activities but I will focus more on the
hexogen to learn new shapes.
Reflection:

I taught the second math lesson about the shapes, I and putted some goals
that I wanted to achieved by the end of the lesson like Students be able to
identify circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles, know the name of the
shapes and know how many side does each shape have, first I read a story
about the shapes for the children take their attention then I asked them to
point out any shapes in the classroom after that I showed them how to do
the activity by putting papers on the board illustrate the steps of doing the
activity and during the activity I asked them some questions, then we moved
to the another activity I give each group a paper contains three shapes which
they are and how many sides does it have and they will have 17 colored
sticks in a cup so it can be a self-correcting activity the children should work
to make each shape by looking to the number of the sides and they take out
the right number of sides after that they form the shapes, this activity was
easy for the student and when they finished we moved to the next activity, I
give them the materials: colored gems stones divided bowl - colored paper
includes the four shapes (Hexagon, tringle, square and rectangle), then I tell
them what should they do and told them the steps was Each group will have
a divided bowl that contain colored gems stones, they will have a colored
card include the shapes, and they will make shapes by the colored gems
stones on the colored card, I observed that they feel difficult after this
activity I Play one of the songs again on the interactive whiteboard and I
asked the children to think about the different shapes this activity help me to
know their understanding, at the end of the lesson I assist the student by
asking questions.
