Getting Access to the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site
The following are the steps for new users to be granted access to the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site. Act 70 SharePoint Managers cannot grant you access unless
you are registered with PA Login.

Note: If you have already registered with PA Login, possibly for other PDE applications, simply provide your PA Login Email Address AND User ID to:
ra-stateboardofed@pa.gov. Otherwise, do the following:

1. Click on PA Login Registration.

2. Enter the required information (as denoted by red asterisks), and make note of the following:
a. User ID
b. Email Address
3. Click Register.
4. Provide the Email Address AND User ID to ra-stateboardofed@pa.gov.
5. An Act 70 SharePoint Manager will notify you that youve been granted access.

Accessing the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site
After youve been notified that youve been granted access, you must closely follow the instructions below to access the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site.

Note: System performance will vary depending on the network, hardware, and software used to access the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site. For best results, login
using Internet Explorer (Version 8 or higher) on a Windows machine connected directly (not wirelessly) to the internet. You may experience issues when using
SharePoint through other browsers (such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) or on other operating systems (such as MAC/Apple). You may also experience issues
when connected wirelessly. Using Microsoft Edge requires that you add the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site to your browsers compatibility view settings.

1. After youve been notified that youve been granted access, click on Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site.

Note: AFTER you login to the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site, you may want to create a bookmark or shortcut. DO NOT bookmark the login screens.

2. On the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania page, click on Login to USER & MUSER click here.

NOTE: If you do not have the option to click Login to USER & MUSER, youll need to clear your browsers cache before attempting to login.

3. In the username field, enter user\ followed by your PA Login username. Note the following requirements:

Your PA Login username is the username you entered when you registered with PA Login.
Your PA Login username is NOT your PA Login email address. If you can't remember your PA Login username, visit PA Login (Forgot Username).
DO NOT enter the quotes.
You MUST enter user\ before your PA Login username (No quotes).
You MUST enter a backslash (\) NOT forward slash (/) after user (no quotes) and before your PA Login username.
Do NOT enter ANY spaces before or after user, the backslash (\), or your PA Login username.
Do NOT capitalize user (no quotes).

For example, if my PA Login username is "Tester", I would enter "user\Tester" in the username field (no quotes).

4. In the password field, enter your PA Login password.

Note: If you forgot your password, visit PA Login (Forgot Password). If you change your password, you will not be able to access the Act 70 Survey
SharePoint Site with the new password until the following day

5. Click Sign In. The Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site Home page displays Act 70 information and a link for completing the survey.

IMPORTANT: For security purposes, after 10 minutes of inactivity, youll be required to log in again. Any unsaved changes will be lost.
Note: Create a bookmark or shortcut now, AFTER you login to the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site. DO NOT bookmark the login screens.

6. Do one of the following:


Start a new Act 70 Survey See Starting a new Act 70 Survey response below.
Edit an existing Act 70 Survey See Editing an existing Act 70 Survey response below.

Starting a new Act 70 Survey response
After you log into the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site, you can respond to the Act 70 Survey. Responding to the Act 70 Survey involves completing and submitting
a brief online form consisting of five primary questions. The form can be completed and submitted in one session, as long as its done within 10 minutes. Or, the
form can be saved, and completed later through the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site.

Only one survey response can be created for each School Entity. Once a survey response is started and saved for a School Entity, that School Entity is no longer
listed as a choice in the School Entity drop-down menu in the online form. In order for a survey response to be saved or submitted, the required fields (as
denoted by red asterisks) in the online form must be completed.

IMPORTANT: For security purposes, after 10 minutes of inactivity, youll be required to log in again. Any unsaved changes will be lost.

1. Access the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site (Using the Accessing the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site instructions above).

2. On the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site Home page, click on Start Act 70 Survey (near the bottom of the page).
3. In the Act 70 Survey online form, do the following:

a) For School Entity, choose the school entity to which the survey response applies. AUN and Type are populated automatically, based on the School
Entity selection (required).
b) For Question #1, choose Yes or No (required).
c) For Question #2a, choose Yes or No (required).
d) For Question #2b, choose Yes or No (required).

e) For Question #3, for each grade level, choose one of the following (required):
Related instruction is provided at this grade level
Not applicable, grade level is not offered at this school entity
Not applicable, related instruction is not offered at this grade level

For each grade level, when Related instruction is provided at this grade level is selected, one or more applicable fields of study must be selected
(English Language Arts, Social Studies, Assemblies, Field Trips, Other).

f) For Question #4, for each grade level band, choose one of the following (required):
Hours offered (1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, 81-90, 91-100, or 100+)
Not applicable, grade level is not offered at this school entity
Not applicable, related instruction is not offered at this grade level
g) For Question #5a, choose Yes or No (optional).
h) For Question #5b, choose Yes or No (optional).
i) For Question #5c, select any of the following:
Enhanced materials and resources on SAS
Professional development provided by the Department of Education on-site
Professional development provided by the Department of Education online
SAS Institute Session
Other (When Other is selected, a required text field appears and must be completed)

4. When the required fields (as denoted by the red asterisks) have been completed, do one of the following:
Click Save. The form will remain open and editable. Your response will be considered incomplete. To exit the form afterwards, click Cancel.
Click Submit. The form will close and you won't be able to edit your survey response. Your response will be considered complete.
Click Cancel. The form will close and you will lose any changes since the last time you saved. To return to your saved response, see Editing an existing
Act 70 Survey response below.

Editing an existing Act 70 Survey response
After youve saved a survey response, you can return to the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site to continue working on your response. The form can be completed
and submitted in one session, as long as its done within 10 minutes. Or, the form can be saved, and completed later through the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site.
In order for a survey response to be saved or submitted, the required fields (as denoted by red asterisks) in the online form must be completed.

IMPORTANT: For security purposes, after 10 minutes of inactivity, youll be required to log in again. Any unsaved changes will be lost.

1. Access the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site (Using the Accessing the Act 70 Survey SharePoint Site instructions above). Survey responses that you saved or
submitted are listed in the My Act 70 Survey Responses table, below the Start Act 70 Survey button, on the Act 70 SharePoint Survey Home page.

2. In the My Act 70 Survey Responses table, under Name, click on the name of your LEA.
3. Enter or edit the information in the form (as instructed in Starting a new Act 70 Survey response above).
4. When the required fields (as denoted by the red asterisks) have been completed, do one of the following:
Click Save. The form will remain open and editable. Your response will be considered incomplete. To exit the form afterwards, click Cancel.
Click Submit. The form will close and you won't be able to edit your survey response. Your response will be considered complete.
Click Cancel. The form will close and you will lose any changes since the last time you saved.
