K-Electric may, as its option, use the Security Deposit for the purpose of self-utilisation by K-Electric from time to time and shall, upon discontinuation of electric supply
to the consumer, adjust / return the security deposit as the case may be as per applicable NEPRA notication

a connection at your premises without any hassle.

You will be required to submit an application form containing all

the required documents mentioned in the form.
Please make sure that all the contact details you provide are

genuine and in use. In case of providing fake email IDs or contact
numbers, you will not be able to receive any intimation which will
result in delaying your case.
You will be given an ID against your application form, through

which you can check the status of your new connection application.
You will be contacted for a survey of your premises once your
documents have been reviewed and verified. Please remember,
your presence at the time of the survey to identify the point of

supply and PMT location is mandatory.
Please Note: Failure to comply will result in the cancellation of
your application.
You will be intimated about your approved load via SMS or email

once it is approved in accordance with the assessed load.

Scenario No. 1 Bank Guarantee Cases

Instructions for Scheme Cases /

You will be provided with the following documents along with the
intimation for execution:
Bill of materials
Approved drawings
List of approved manufacturers / suppliers for supply of materials
10 List of contact details of manufacturers / suppliers
List of approved pre-qualified contractors for scheme execution
Letter of agreement for conformance to current KE specifications
Letter of conformance to current KE specifications (for transformers)
Letter of conformance to current KE specifications (for other
materials)
You shall then nominate a contractor for the execution of your
scheme from the attached list of pre-qualified contractors who
shall further submit a letter confirming the award of work along

with the work schedule (preferably in a Gantt Chart format) before
you procure any material. You shall also submit the letter of
agreement for conformance to current KE specifications.
All intimations, including the hiring of a contractor and inspection of each
material, shall be sent to us in writing within 15 days of receiving the
intimation for execution. Delivery challans or order confirmation of the
12 materials and the letters of conformance to current KE specifications by
the manufacturer shall also be submitted along with the intimations.
Kindly note that the completion date of your scheme shall not
exceed the deadline. You shall also ensure that electrification of

your scheme is fully executed by a pre-qualified contractor
before the said deadline.

As per the Electricity Act, all your internal wiring and electrical
installations should be installed by a competent and qualified
electrical contractor. In this respect, you will have to submit the
following documents at the KE front office:

Work commencement report duly enclosed by EIK
Fitness certificate duly issued by EIK (in case of industry)
Copies of paid estimate and SD(s) receipts
Last paid bill (if applicable)
Undertaking for dues clearance
In order to maintain the load power factor at or above 0.9 at all
times, you will have to install an automatic power factor
improvement plant of an appropriate kVA rating (rating will be
confirmed by the NC department) before your scheme is
energised. The working of the automatic PFIP will be tested at
15 the time of installation of meters, for which a minimum of 25% of
your approved load must be installed. You will also have to
submit the following documents along with the test form:
The delivery challan for automated PFIP
Test reports for automated power factor improvement plant
PFIP undertaking
(This point is valid for industrial / commercial consumers)
Your scheme will be energised after the complete execution as
16 per KEs proposal and subject to dues clearance from the
concerned KE billing zone.
Your approved load will be final. Any change in construction /
usage / machinery at any stage will result in changing the approved
17 load due to which your case will be held in abeyance. KE will not be
liable for any loss, delay or damage caused by the deviation in
load. Necessary changes in the scheme will be conducted
accordingly as per the revised load after due approval, if possible.

You will be required to submit an application form containing all

You will be given an ID against your application form, through

3 which you can check the status of your new connection
application.

In order to assess load of your premises, a survey will be conducted

4 by the K-Electric team within two days of application submission.

Estimate will be issued based on assessed load within a week of

5 survey which you need to submit at designated banks (the bank
list will be provided by KE).

Your application ID will be cancelled without prior notice in case

6 you fail to submit the payments within the mentioned timeframe.

At the time of estimate issuance, you will be given a list of

7 required documents including Test Form.
Test form can be downloaded from KE website (www.ke.com.pk)
and it is also available at KE New Connection offices.

All the required documents, Test Form, and copy of paid

8 estimate shall be submitted at the Front Office of New
Connection Department.

You will be directed to KE IBC of your area for the clearance of

9 dues (if any).

Your meter will be installed subject to dues clearance from the

10 concerned billing zone.

Your approved load will be final. Any change in construction /

usage / machinery at any stage will result in changing the
approved load due to which your case will be held in abeyance.
11 KE will not be liable for any loss, delay or damage caused by the
deviation in load. Necessary changes in the scheme will be
conducted accordingly as per the revised load after due
approval, if possible.
