This article says that large corporations have pushed and have created an imbalance of
genetically modified foods to natural or organic foods in supermarkets. These companies have
put large amounts of produce that has not undergone proper testing and screening to ensure that
they are not harmful to humans when consumed. This article also states that the government is
not doing an adequate job at enforcing regulations on these companies. This article will be used
in my project to show how negligence by the government is partly responsible for the decrease in

This article states that modern agricultural practices involve a lot of artificial chemicals.
These chemicals are sometimes linked to negative affects upon one's health and on the
environment. Unlike these genetically modified crops organic foods are produced without those
chemicals and other unnatural methods. The benefits of these are that they can be more
sustainable. This source will be used in my project to give background knowledge on what
genetic modification is and what goes into the process of producing a genetically modified crop
or food product.

process. This article also states basic numerical facts to polls that have been taken on the
preferences of the public. One poll says that 90% of the population would like to have genetic
modification labeled on their foods at Genetically Modified Foods or GMO. This will be used in
my project to show that the public understands the potential risks to the consumption of food that

This article goes into detail on the process and science of genetic modification of food
sources. One point the article make is that the technique of cross breeding has been used for
thousands of years and is not a method that is harmful to the health of humans. Many methods of
genetic modification involve changing the genes of natural organisms and these processes are the
ones according to the article as the ones that are harmful to humans and cause abnormalities and
illness. This article will be used in my project to show that some forms of genetic modification of
plant or other food sources are not harmful to the health of those who consume them.

facts to why many people choose less healthy alternatives when buying food. One point the

article will be used in my project to show the benefits but also the reason many have not
