As a teacher, I would first of all have classroom rules enforced so that some of these lesser severe
offences shouldnt or hopefully wouldnt happen. Especially with Kindergarten or First grade. I do
prefer to discipline with redirecting and having a reward system.

If and when any of these behavior issues happen depending on the severity of them I would first bring
the issue to the students attention and then remind them that it is not acceptable and it needs to stop
otherwise a note or phone call will go home to their parent. This should work well for lesser issues like
on the chart above with offenses to 15 in severity.

When dealing with behavior issues in the chart above from 20 through 30, I would first speak to the
students involved and then they would be sent or escorted to the principals office for further
disciplinary action and notification to parents.

Lastly, are behavior offenses 30 through 40. These students would be escorted to the principals
office and them reprimanded by a call home, probably a meeting with the parents along with
suspension and/or expulsion depending on other offenses that may have already happened. I believe
these offenses would involve school or local police also.
