Main Lesson Aims (Concepts, Procedures, & Processes):


Student will be able to identify new vocabulary words (Saddle, hooves, rider, prize, cheers,
disappears, sand, seat, heat, reins).
Students will be able to list information about the horses.
Students will be to create a poster about horses.

Students Prior Knowledge:


Some student will know the meaning of some words but they dont know the word.
Some students will have knowledge about the colors of horses but they dont know the names
of objects that are on the horse.

Possible Problems and Misconceptions:


The data show will not work.
The teacher doesnt have ability to manage the class.
The teacher have very mistake in her language.
Solutions:
I use students books because they have the text in their books, and for the video I will
replace it to print it pictures.
Teacher should use a special method to manage the class.
Teacher should practice the difficult words.

Lesson Schedule
Targeted teacher language:
Greeting (Good morning, How are you students). Who can remind me the tittle of our unit? Today we will start a new
lesson. Lets play a video to find what we are going to learn today. Here is the horse. After that open your learner
book to follow the audio.
Student language:
Greeting (good morning teacher, Fine thank you).Many new words. Teacher can repeat how to
pronounce the word. Yes lets start. No dont do that its incorrect.
Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge): time:
A video about famous people in UAE who ride horses. Students from that will have a knowledge about 2min
what they will learn today.

Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures): 38min


Pre: First I will pre teach the students the new vocabulary words by showing them a real
horse and some words will be identified by pictures. Also, I will let the students repeat after
me when I will say the new words.

While: I will say the instruction, that today we will listen to a poem about a horse rider and I
will play it twice, you should listen carefully because I will ask you some questions.
1- When the rider holds the reins he takes a?
2- A long time he must ride in the?
3- Where the world disappears located in the text?

Post: Students will open their activity book page (94) to answer the true/false questions and
the matching about the vocabulary. After they will do the page in groups, we will share the
answers in the board.

After that, I will give to each group a small paper on the stick they will come in front the class
and read these sentences about horses.
If you know how to use me you will be able to get a prize. I have hooves. I say neigh. I eat grass. I have a
tail. I can run very fast. I can be used as a ride. I have 4 legs. I can be grey, brown, black and white.
