Assistant Principal

Facilitate the implementation of the schools discipline policy to ensure a safe and orderly
learning environment.
Conferences with parents/guardians and students concerning discipline, attendance, academic
performance and student behavior.
Assist the Principal in supervising and evaluating school-based personnel.
Assists in the evaluation of the school program and school-based personnel and to initiate
needed improvements.
Coordinate testing programs at the school including CAASPP, CAA and CAST.
Monitor school facilities to ensure a safe and orderly environment and ensure school is
following school safety plan and procedures according to board policy and federal and state
requirements.
Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs and activities at the

Grants
CAST GRANT (Spring 2011): a $1200 grant to design outdoor educational activities to
complement the existing Germantown Academy middle school science curriculum.
SCHOOL GARDEN GRANT (Spring 2016): a $1200 grant from the California Fertilizer
Foundation used to establish our school garden.
LOWES TOOLBOX FOR EDUCATION GRANT (Spring 2016): a $4600 grant to expand our
garden, establish composting bins and procure gardening equipment.
LOOK AT AGRICULTUREORGANICALLY GRANT (Summer 2016): a $1,000 grant to
establish a local organic seed bank that will serve the Humboldt County Community.
