Midterm 1

The first midterm seem somewhat fairly easy. After reviewing the test and the problems I

missed were simple mistakes. My grade definitely reflect how I approach studying for this test.

I only fill this way about my grade because we werent able to get the study guide sooner to

prepare for the upcoming test. The study strategy that I used mainly for this test was index cards

with all the homework problem sets that would be similar to the test and I just kept going over

them each day for about an hr. Also to prepare for our final I just took my test and covered up

all the answers and photo copied it and reworked the problems. The problems on midterm one

that were difficult was making a venn diagram of the relationship between triangles and

explaining if they are the same or different. On the other hand was the really easy problems

which was line segment, skew lines and the sum of three triangles I have no problem solving

those I have mastered them.

This test was really easy just a lot of writing and explaining the difference between a

square and rectangle and relationship among triangles. Thats the reason why I got the grade I

got because the difficult problems weight heavily on the test and thats were I lost most of my

points. Misconceptions that I have for working the problems was simple mistakes so when I take

the test again I just need to pay more close attention and make sure I read the problems carefully.

So that I want make careless mistakes and get full credit.

Midterm 2

On the other hand our second midterm I got the grade I got because I barely had time to

study. This test required a lot of material to cover. I was very disappointed when I received my

test back because I at least wanted a passing grade thinking major of the problems I had mastered

and was able to work them out. Studying for this test I didnt have good study strategies I have

to do better. I may have to ask my fellow classmates how they study or try to make time to meet

up so that we can go over the material that is difficult to understand. Problems that were easy to

solve was if triangles are similar, similar congruent, and finding a missing side of a triangle.

Those problems didnt have many steps or things to remember. Now the more difficult problems

is learning how to reflect, rotate, and translate triangles. Why those problems were hard because

you have to make sure you using the right terms and knowing the directions that your reflecting

the triangle. Next difficult problem was the distance formula of a triangle explaining how its

related to pythagorem and theorem something I still need to work on because I still dont have a

clear understanding of it just yet.

Furthermore, my grade could have been better if I took more time concentrating learning

the material and making sure I understood . This exam was a little more difficult to do because

of all the properties and different formulas to use. The problems were exactly the reflection of

the homework. For the material for this test I have also made myself a test with the homework

problems and reworked them going back over the problems checking if I understand. For the

final exam I have I just keep reviewing my old test and making notes to myself so that I can ask

question about steps on how to figure out the problems or even stay after class so that Mrs.

Board can ask any questions that I may not be clear on.
Midterm 3

My midterm three test I bombed the test. This had to be the most difficult test for me this

whole semester. I can admit I did study but I think we just went through the material really fast.

The grade really matched my understanding of the material we covered in class. I use the same

study strategies as I used for the other test and I was not successful with passing neither of those

either. Topics that were hard to grasp was conversion being able to go from one unit to another

and the volume of a cylinder and the right formula to use. I had the most hardest time with

conversions because of miles and kilometers and the right way to set the problem.

I received the grade I got because I seem to block or lost all knowledge of all the material

that we learned for this section. But it was a lot of material to retain and formulas as well. This

exam was easy and not to difficult only because it wasnt very many steps to solving the

problems. Questions that were easy was finding the hyopthunese of the triangle and able to

solve it by using a2+b2=C2 and the area of the triangle I enjoying solving those because its only a

couple of steps and the area of a rectangle super easy just multiplying the square yards and feet

to find the square feet of a rectangle. I think they will still be easy to me even when I see them

on the final. My most challenging problem was the conversions problems about how a person ran

a 20k race in so many minutes and what was the average speed in milers per hr. I had to keep

asking help and how to break the problem down and figure out what correct units to use. But

now I have mastered that problem and its no longer a problem for me because I have reworked

that same problem many times. As I get myself ready for the final I will gather all three test and

look over the ones I missed work them out. The biggest concept of it all is learning how most of

the problems all three test are similar in many ways I just need to apply it to the test and be
determine to pass the test and make sure all questions need to be answered if I feel unsure about

things.
