Don’t forget the entertainment Friday night.
How about Captain Rubino’s Wednesday night

laughs. Thanks Frank.
While you are enjoying all the fun at the club, your
Board and Volunteers continue to work on many
projects.
Recently we have hired an Engineer Consultant to
survey the bulkhead and advise us as to the condition
and life expectancy. This has been a topic of concern
for many years. Now we will have a formal appraisal
for the scope of work needed. Pictured above are a few of the Scholarship Winners:Taylor Scicchitano,

Goodbye From Two Legends

June 8, 2010

The Commodore and the Board of Governors

South Norwalk Boat Club,

Gentlemen,

We are hereby tendering our resignations, effective

June 14, 2010, as Chair and Assistant Chair of the Marina
Committee of the South Norwalk Boat Club.

On June 13 of this year we will commission a completely

renovated Marina that includes all new flotation systems,
as well as new wiring and plumbing. We committed to this
project over ten years ago and have now seen it through to
fruition. Its completion provides an appropriate opportunity
to appoint new leadership.

We are appreciative of the support of the Commodores,

the Boards of Governors, and the membership that we
have served, as well as of the opportunity we were given
to make a contribution to the “Advancement of Boating,”
the mission of the Club. We continue to be committed to
providing support and assistance to the Marina Committee.

In anticipation of a transition we have trained various

captains in the essential operations of the Committee.
In particular, we have worked closely with Captain Glenn
Perschino on the leadership essentials associated with the
Marina Committee, including yard operations, winter and
summer slip assignments, billing, rules, winter storage, and
hauling and launching. We commend him to you as our
choice for the chairmanship of the Marina Committee.

Respectfully submitted,

Hans van der Giessen John Restivo
