Ann M. Loshaw, Vice President of Education

Historic Ford Estates

Ann M. Loshaw is currently employed at the Historic Ford Estates as the Vice President
of Education. As vice president of education she plans events, increases museum audience
development and creates programs all surrounding the legacy of Edsel and Eleanor Ford and
their family. Recently, she has become involved with the Grosse Pointe Historical Society as a
potential new board member.

Loshaw has an interest in both historic preservation and restoration, making her a great fit
for both the established Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores and the evolving
Henry Ford Estate in Dearborn. She is focused on making sure guests who attend all Historic
Ford Estate events leave with a take-away piece of historical education as well as a family-fun
and friendly time.

Before arriving to the Historic Ford Estates in Sept. 2015, Loshaw was serving as the
Deputy Director for Learning and Visitor Experience at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in
Miami. She also has experience working at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich. and the
Detroit Institute of Arts. While at The Henry Ford Museum, a program she conceptualized and
based off the big-screen IMAX film, American Trailblazers, was chosen from international
submissions as the winner of the Best Educational Program award by the Giant Screen Theatre
Association.

Loshaw has both a Bachelor and Master of Arts degree from Wayne State University in
Detroit. She is the vice president of the Historic House Network in the American Alliance of
Museums and served as a trustee on the board of the Ohio Museums Association Board of
Trustees from 2005 2008. She has attended many seminars on
