Since its establishment in 2001, MENTARIDESIGN has
excited interest in its exploration and combination of
modern and traditional materials in a wide range of
landscapes. We have become well known for offering
a unique individual design to every single client.

MENTARIDESIGN has a creative design team with a

Principal Landscape Architect
Fairouz is the initiator and Principal of
Mentari Design. He has achieved
excellence in design and continues to seek
for further distinction.
12 years of practical experience in
Malaysia and Australia has built an
extensive reputation within the league.
Previously practiced at Taylor Cullity
Lethlean and Swanbury Penglase Architect
based in Adelaide, Australia. He especially
enjoys urban scale projects that entail
intricate detailing of a design that weaves
both form and function together.
Fairouz graduated from Universiti
Teknologi MARA (UITM) with qualification
in Town & Country Planning as well as
Landscape Architecture. He is a certified
landscape architect and a corporate
member of ILAM.

LAr. Dr. Nurhayati Abdul Malek
Associate Landscape Architect
Dr. Nurhayati has 12 years of experience
and an expert in Landscape Architecture
and Parks and Recreation Management
researches including conceptual to design
developments.
She has a strong attitude in developing a
solid framework for a design concept. This
has lead towards a distinctive design in
many of our projects.
Received her PhD in Parks and Recreation
Management from Universiti Putra
Malaysia (UPM), a Masters in Parks and
Recreation Management from University
of South Australia (UniSA) and a Bachelor
in Landscape Architecture from Universiti
Teknologi MARA (UITM). She is also a
certified landscape architect and a
member of ILAM organization.

Project Description :

ILAM 2010 Award Winning Project

The best value of the project is

the landscape architectural
design makes the CIMB Tower
building merged and well blended
with the surrounding commercial
area. This can be seen through
the continuity of activities from
inside to outside of the
surrounding multifunctional
buildings. The landscape architect
purposely created a place which
is catered not just for the
enjoyment of the CIMB staffs but
also to the public at that area

ILAM 2012 Award Winning Project

DVida Commercial at Bukit Jelutong is

one of the distinguish project
handled. The design intended to
create urban stream as heart of the

towards water efficient landscape and

Representing the image of
Malaysias largest financial services
group, the landscape was
purposely built for the enjoyment
of people without override its
character as a semi private space.

Project Description :

The project was completed on 2010.

The overlying landscape idea was to
create a lake park that provides multi
range of activities from active to
passive for the residents and adjacent
neighborhood.

This project participated for Malaysia

Landscape Architecture Award 2010
under Ecological Design category.

USJ Heights and Nilai signage were

among earliest completed project
with SDPB. The design intended to
demarks as entrance statement to
respective Townships.

standardized to give as an identity for

Sime Darby Plantation HQ was among

prominent projects handled and
recently completed. The landscape
design was to reflect the Plantation
identity by using Oil Palms as
structural planting. The challenge was
greatly tested on the way to achieve
certification for LEED standard in
landscape design.
