Close Reading and Bubble Map
Lesson Content Description:
Students do a close reading of a flamingo writing. As they read with
the teacher, they will underline. Students will then answer
comprehension questions based on the reading. Then they will write
facts down onto a bubble map. Students will then watch a video
about flamingos.

Instructional Strategies/Method of Delivery:


-T. will guide students through close reading.
-Students will answer questions as a class.
-Students will write facts on a bubble map.
-Students will watch a video to provide a visual aid.

Students will be able to answer questions and provide facts after completing a close reading
about flamingos.
Assessment:
Formative: Teacher will ask students to provide a thumbs up or down for facts.
Summative: T. can look at students questions to see what they answered.

Speech- Student will be provided with additional time to complete work.
EL-Student will be given assistance with reading the vocabulary.
