AMORPHOUS ALLOY CUTTING MACHINE

I Description
This amorphous alloy cutting machine is special designed for automatic cutting and stacking
amorphous alloy strips for cores.
This line adopts PLC control, servo drive, touch screen operation and high precision
mechanical transmitting mechanisms, and so assures high automation, high productivity and
high reliability.
This machine mainly satisfies for processing 3-phase-3-column big amorphous alloy cores.

II Main technical data

III Performance and buildup


The line can satisfy any requirements for cutting and pre-setting and adjusting related piling
quantity, overlaping method, interspace, etc. The parameters to be pre-set on touch screen are

very simple.
The line is comprised of three decoilers, guiding channels, main frame and leading device,
feeding device, cutting machine, automatic stacking table, electric control system and
pneumatic system.
3.1 Decoiler
Total three, serial arrangement, separate inverter controlled motor driving.
 Max. bearing weight: 1000kg
 Max. coil diameter: 1200mm
 Mandrel center height: 900mm
 Drum diameter range: Φ360 — Φ430 mm
 Decoiling speed: 0-50rpm
 Can rotate both forward and reverse
 Motor power: each 1.5kW
3.2 Guiding system
There are three guiding channels for three decoilers. The channels are made by stainless steel
2mm thick, 1500mm long, 250mm wide and 200mm height.
3.3 Main machine frame and guiding device
1)Frame working height: 1100mm
2) In the beginning of the frame, there are guiding grooves which quantity is determined by
different material width. The guiding grooves are made by stainless steel, with vibrating
function and vibrating frequency can be preset and changed. Such guiding grooves can promise
the multi-layer strips not to adhere together and keep flat when feeding into the feeding device,
and thus promise the cutting precision.
3) On the frame table, there are vertical guiding rollers which can be adjusted for different
width; Verticality error between the vertical guiding rollers and feeding rollers is not more than
0.25 degree so to promise cutting quality.
4) Guiding rollers are made by GCr15, quenched; pad material is stainless steel.
3.4 Feeding device
1) Feeding device adopts pneumatic stepping system. Via high precision linear guide, pressing
device and pneumatic cylinders, specified-length step feeding can be achieved. Pneumatic
cylinder working pressure can be pre-set and adjusted easily.
2) Via servo motor system, high precision gear and rack transmitting, pneumatic
loading/unloading mechanism, specified-length cutting can be achieved.

3.5 Cutting machine
1) The cutting machine is the key part in the line. The quality of the cutting machine
determines the cutting quality.
2) The cutting machine adopts large power servo motor, synchronizing wheel speed transform,
crank-shaft mechanism to achieve cutting action.
3) Adopts imported linear guide from Switzerland to assure high precision cutting.
4) Main technical data
 Cutting stroke: 20mm, adjustable
 Length of cutting blade: 250mm
 Material of cutting blade: special rigid alloy
3.6 Automatic stacking table
1) Table length: 5000mm
2) Material inleting table is controlled by PLC, which can automatically drop simultaneously
after accepting pre-set strips. The elevating power is from hydraulic system.
3) The position of the inleting table can be positioned according to pre-set program, thus can
satisfy different core overlaping requirements.
4) On the direction vertical to piling thickness, there is one pressing pneumatic cylinder which
can automatically drops till piling thickness reaches core requirement.
5) All the linear movements adopt linear guide to promise flexibility and high precision.
6) The active side guiding rollers can open /close driven by pneumatic cylinder; It is equipped
with hydraulic damper which brings gentle unloading, no obvious shock and shake. This action
is also controlled by PLC.
7) All the side guides, grooves are made by 1.5-4mm stainless steel.
3.7 Control system
1) Programs are self-developed. All the cutting, piling and overlapping are controlled by PLC.
2) During working, the big colorful touch screen can display every kind of working conditions.
3) On the touch screen, operator can pre-set, verify and adjust the cutting parameters and core
shapes.
4) Big-capacity storing: Core drawings can be saved in their drawing number, not less than 30
items; if saved in serial number, not less than 200 items.
5) On the main control panel and inspection path, there are several emergent stop buttons.
6) All the operations can be done on the control panel.

3.8 Pneumatic system
1) Adopts modular central control
2) Use many mufflers to make machine noise level less than imported similar machines.
3) Pressure and flow on each shunt circuit can be separately adjustable.
4) Every action can be controlled by PLC.
5) All the valves, cylinders and meters are “Airtec” brands.
