Certificate of Completion of Making Good Defect (CCMGD)

The period commencing on the date that the contractor or sub-


contract work have achieved practical completion. Normally twelve
months after the date of practical completion of the work, known as
maintenance period or rectification period. During this period, the client
reports any defects to the contractor, the contractor will to make goof the
defects within a reasonable time. Contractors responsibility to identify
and rectify defects. After end of the defects liability period, the employer
or S.O prepares a schedule of defects and agrees with the contractor the
date by which they will be rectified. When the contractor all item on the
schedule of defects have been made good, Certificate of Completion of
Making Good Defect (CCMGD) will be issued.

Certificate of Completion of Making Good Defect (CCMGD) is when


the contractor all the defect is making good , S.O will issues the CCMGD
once they satisfaction with the contractor works. Under the Clause 48.1 a
and b, after work is completed by the contractor, Defects Liability Period
(DLP) is begin until the expiring date of Defects Liability Period (DLP). S.O
will prepare the defects schedule or list within 14 days after expiring
Defects Liability Period (DLP). After that, the contractor shall within
reasonable time or not later than 3 month make good according to the list.
(Clause 48.1b). If the contractor making good all defect, will get the
Certificate of Completion of Making Good Defect (CCMGD) by the S.O. If
the contractor fail to complete making good defect, the cost shall be
recovered from the performance bond or as a debt due from the
contractor.

Defects list shall be prepare by Architect within 14 day after


expiring Defects Liability Period (DLP).
The contractor shall in 28 days making good all the defects
according to list (Clause 15.4) (schedule of defects).
Within 14 days after completion of making good defects by
contractor, Certificate of Completion of Making Good Defect
(CCMGD) shall issue by the Architect (Clause15.6).
If defects have not been made good, the architect shall give written
notice to the contractor with copies to Nominated Sub-contractor
stating the reasons for the non-issuance of the certificate of Making
Good Defects.

Certificate of Non-Completion
Certificate of Non Completion (CNC) at the P.W.D. FORM 203A
(Rev.1/2010) and PAM Contract 2006 is under CLAUSE 40 and CLAUSE
22.1. For this certificate, when the contractor if he fails to complete works
by the completion date or any extended date ,the S.O or architect shall
forthwith issue a Certificate of Non-Completion to the Contractor.
