Disaggregated-subgroups(grade, race, SES)

Longitudinal-year to year, measured over time

Qualitative-based on information from interviews,


focus groups, etc.

Quantitative-hard numbers
Assessments
Formative - Learning is measured at several points during
teaching/learning. Primary intentions is to obtained
information to guide further teaching. Ex. questioning and
pretests

Summative assessment- Assessment at the end of a period


of education or training. Ex. Benchmark Tests and EOG

Opportunities for Growth and Development - One size fits


all, does not work. Professional development must be
standard aligned, assessment driven, and accountability
focused
Celebrating Success
Effective organizations celebrate success;

Leadership in celebrating success manifests itself in any


number of ways (performing out-of-character acts);

Celebrating success can also be private (handwritten


notes and verbal compliment);

Through Awards, assemblies, bulletin boards, newsletter


references, covering a class, etc.

Results to integration of vision, planning and budgeting

Celebration should be an all-inclusive process.
