Wet bulb temperature 25C
Desired inside condition: Dry bulb temperature 22 C
Relative humidity 55%
Specification of room: Length 3.8m
Breadth 2.33m
Height2.7m
Wall made of concrete block with cement motor
Over all heat coefficient of block U= 3.18Wm2
Two side plaster thickness =1.65cm*2
Specification of window: 1.03m*0.88m (Single window facing west direction)
Considered parameter in the room:
No of occupants: 2
No of bulb: 1
Capacity: 18w/m2
Sensible heat gain per person: 60W
Latent heat gain per person: 80W
40 percent of fresh air and 60 percent of recirculated air is used in the cooling coil of the
HVAC system.

Recommendation and conclusion

The room was lacking the ventilation due to which there was not proper
circulation of air. Thus for the proper circulation of air and natural cooling there
must be provision of proper ventilation in the east wall at the top.
The south wall side consist enough free space and yet lacking of window.
Therefore proper sized window was recommended in the south facing wall.
There was lacking of passive solar heating system. The moisture in the wall of
north could be removed by using proper passive solar heating system.
