The MS starts the location update request procedure by sending a location update
request message to the network, and this timer is started. When the MM module
receives various events stopping the location update procedure, it stops this timer.
When this timer expires, the MM module sends a location update reject message to
the MS.

period of time (such as 2s) after the PSI paging procedure. Thus, the paging
procedure need not be initiated in the subsequent call procedure to avoid conflicts
between different procedures. If the MM module performs settings to keep the
connection after the PSI procedure, it stops this timer. If this timer expires, the MM
module keeps the connection if any new service is accessed; otherwise, the MM

During the active/standby switching of the MP boards, after the standby board
receives a message, the CN RANAP module starts this timer. If the CN RANAP
module receives a message of the active board being successfully switched to the
standby one, the standby board is switched to the active one, and the CN RANAP
module stops this timer. If this timer expires, the quasi active board is successfully
switched to the active server from the standby one.

mrTidCOMMRESET
Timer Name
Value Range
0~86400000ms
Default Duration
10000ms
1ms
Flow Description
After the communication between the active MP board and the standby on is
recovered, the RANAP process on the standby MP board sends an
mrSynchrDataReqEvent message to that on the active MP board, requesting to
synchronize the data requiring backing up. At the same time, the RANAP module
starts this timer with the protection duration as 3s. If this timer expires, the data
synchronization is re-initiated. After the data synchronization ends, the RANAP
module stops this timer. If the RANAP module has received an
mrBackupSynchrDataEvent or mrCallMasterSynDataEndEvent message before this
timer expires, it stops this timer.

module starts this timer, and waits for the heartbeat association to be established.
After this timer expires, the DH module starts to perform the status switching of the
dual-homing domains. If the heartbeat association has been successfully
established before this timer expires, the DH module stops this timer, and performs
status switching of the dual-homing domains as required.

Flow Description
When the dual-homing work domains are switched with the dynamic management
tool of the network management system being used, the DH module starts this timer.
Before this timer expires, the DH module continually reports the status of each office
during the switching of the work domains. After this timer expires, the switching
guard ends. If the switching has normally ended before this timer expires, the DH
module stops this timer.
