Togakure Ryu Ninpo

Note: (U) = uki, which is the person receiving the technique, (T) = tori, the
person doing the technique.
(1) Migikataudetonsougata

(u) Right hand cross grab to (t) left wrist, pull three steps back.
(t) Follow pull, on third step, right kick to groin, go under (u)'s right arm
while holding to throw (u). Mitsubishi. HENKA (1) Step in and catch
wrist and place against body, then put both hands on (u)'s elbow to crush
wrist, then switch to onikudaki gata for takedown. (2) Cross step in and
boshiken to far side of neck with right hand, step through and sweep
(osoto gata). (3) Circle hand clockwise and bar arm, use left leg to sweep
out (u)'s right leg so (u) falls forward.

(2) Hidari kataudetonsougata

(u) Right hand grabs left wrist, pull three steps back.
(t) Bring hand palm up to catch arm and follow, after third step, kick groin,
reach across and catch elbow, drop back and down to right knee.
Metsubishi. HENKA: (1) Catch wrist and push hand up, reach across and
catch hand to apply ura gyaku, pull (u) back and down. (2) Same as #1
except apply O Gyaku. (3) Catch wrist, reach across and catch upper
arm, duck under arm, drop to left knee to takedown.

(3) Migi tekubisuzitonsougata

(u) Right hand rear collar grab, step back and pull three steps.
(t) On the third step, turn into (u) and left elbow to body as right hand covers
grab, take hand off by pushing up on elbow and throw (u) forward while
dropping to left knee. Metsubishi. HENKA: (1) Cover hand and turn into
(u), push up with shoulder, then Ganseki Otoshi. (2) Cover hand, turn and
step on front foot and turn all the way under the grab, turn back into arm
to bar arm and take (u) down forward. (3) Quickly back into (u)'s front
foot or back into then sweep front leg.

(4) Atekomitonsougata

(u) Katana Daijodan No Kamae, Shomen Giri.


(t) Left front Hoko No Kamae, step in and drop to left knee and boshiken to
solar plexus, jump back and Metsubishi. HENKA (1) Sink under and drive
left hand up into eyes while right hand punches stomach, right hand grabs
belt and pulls to the side while front leg sweeps (u)'s front leg. Ebi dori
(shrimp break to back) in and slam head into hands and drop left knee onto
(u)'s front foot, other foot kicks up into groin.
(5) Koteuchitonsogata

(u) Katana Daijodan No Kamae, shomen giri


(t) Left Ichimonji No Kamae, side step front left and right shuto to arms, left
boshiken to the ribs as sinking to left knee, move around to right and
Mitsubushi as dropping to left knee, roll away to left. HENKA (1) After
shuto, spin around so left leg sweeps into the inside of (u)'s front leg (note:
step thru with shuto). (2) Step through and catch biscep, use elbow to
control sword, turn counter clockwise and drop to left knee. (3) After
shuto, reach across (u)'s throat with left hand and kick out (u)'s front leg
while pulling.

(6) Migiuchitonsougata

(u) Katana Seigan No Kamae, thrust.


(t) Left Hoko No Kamae, step right and right shuto to (u)'s left arm, take
sword, step or jump back. Mitsubishi. HENKA: (1) (u) Katana Daijodan
No Kamai, shomen uchi (downward cut to head). (t) Left Ichimonji No
Kamae, step right and switch with left hand. Reach under (u)'s arms and
pull sword out from underneath while putting (u)'s arms in a straight arm
bar. (2) Same as above, after taking sword, drive handle into (u)'s arm pit
while barring arm to throw.

(7) Sayukumogakurenokata

Two swordsmen in front in Daijodan No Kamae, Mitsubishi and punch


body as going between them, roll away. HENKA (1) After mitsubishi,
attack eyes with fingers and roll away.

(8) Kouseikirigakuregata

When surrounded by swordsmen, throw shuriken and mitsubishi, roll to


escape.

(9) Mokutonnojutsu

Use natural elements with taihenjutsu to escape.

KAMAE

(1) Ichi No Kamae- arms held out almost straight to make up for swords short
length; as opponent cuts downward, slapping parry and
reach under and catch own sword blade to trap arms, thrust
into body with point.
(2) Seigan No Kamae sword point held out toward opponent's eyes; as opponent
cuts with shomen uchi, juji uki (crossing swords block +),
catch wrist with handle and cut neck with won blade.
(3) Chudan No Kamae sword pointed towards opponent's chest; as opponent
thrusts, yield parry and catch (u)'s right arm with left hand,
push arms back with forearm and cut neck.
(4) Gedan No Kamae right foot in front; sword held with point down toward
ground; as opponent cuts with shomen uchi, juji uki, kick
arm and cut body.
(5) Tou Sui No Kamae same as gedan no kamae with left foot forward, as
opponent cuts with shomen uchi, circle parry counter
clockwise and cut to body.
(6) Hasso No Kamae sword held straight up to the side with a hand guard about
ear level; as opponent thrusts, step to the side and push cut
across the hands.
(7) Kasumi No Kamae sword handle led above head with point slanting
downward: as opponent thrusts, parry downward and
sinking one hand cut to the body.
(8) Toutoku Hyoshi on one knee, sword is held straight up to block shuriken or
arrows (yadomaejutsu)

Ittou Giri
(u) Katana Daijodan No Kamae, shomen uchi
(t) Chudan No Kamae, step left and left knee down, one hand (right) cut to
body.

(u) Hasso No Kamae, shomen uchi


(t) Chudan No Kamae, thrust to body, or cut to side of body.

(u) Yari Chudan No Kamae, thrust


(t) Chudan No Kamae, slap parry and push cut to neck, kick opponent back
and away.

Happo Biken Jutsu

(1) Hiryu No Ken catch opponent's incoming blade with clockwise circle
parry, take sword around and down then suddenly reverse
with 45 degree upward cut to body, coming in behind
spiral.
(2) Kasumi No Ken catch incoming blade with clockwise circle parry, take
sword all the way around and throw out, cut to finish
(3) Uranami snap sword up under incoming blade to forstall opponent,
sink in to one knee and cut body.
(4) Da Tou No Ken catch incoming blade with jujiuki gata and slam elbows up
into opponent's hands and cut body.
(5) Issen No Ken thrust at opponent, when opponent slaps blade away, go
with motion of block and bring sword under and around to
slam into opponent's blade to knock sword out of hands,
thrust to finish.
(6) Raiken No Kamae after pary, put sword point between opponent's hands and
use taihenjutsu to tangle arms and cut.
