Comments: Ms. Moore wrote the objective on the board for students to see and had a student read it out loud for the class
as well as provided feedback to the students who were on task.

Students were engaged and stayed on task. Repeat expectations to students several times during the
lesson to have them stay on task, (raise your hand)
Ms. Moore made appropriate connections to other stories
the students have read or heard this school year.

Ms. Moore made it a point to preview the text and build


schema. There was great discussion about the pictures in
the story as well as inferencing.
