Specialization:
Mr. Bachu has more than seven years of professional experience in
providing geotechnical engineering and construction material testing
services. He has prepared studies for a variety of project types including
oil and gas storage tanks, piperacks, docks, retaining walls, engineered
slopes, embankments, commercial buildings, high rises, and residential
developments.
Mr. Bachu productively managed an office of about 10 employees for
about 2 years including contract negotiations, client relationship
management, business development, and business performance (P&L).
He led the construction materials and geotechnical laboratory through
AASHTO accreditation process. Mr. Bachu is experienced in performing
analyses and/or developing recommendations for shallow foundations,
deep foundations, settlement analyses, tank foundations, slope stability
analyses, retaining walls, sheetpile walls, anchors, excavation and
shoring, dewatering, and soil improvement/stabilization.
He has supervised/conducted construction field monitoring including site
grading, field density testing, piezometer installations, spread footings,
mat foundations, wall drains, drilled footing inspections, concrete testing,
augered cast-in-place pile installation, pile driving, and excavation
dewatering and shoring.
