SPSS PROJECT REPORT FOR MTH3340 JAN 2017 (10%)

Your group is required to submit a formal report of your findings from your research. The report should
be prepared, and properly formatted using Microsoft Words. It should be primarily based on the analyses
that you had done in LAB1 LAB5 Assignments. (You can do additional analysis to investigate the other
research questions not covered in the Lab1-Lab 5 assignments).

Below are the instructions for preparing your report for this SPSS group assignment project. Please follow
these guidelines carefully. Failure to do so may result in grade deductions.

1. Prepare your report using Words Document 1.5 lines spacing. Then save it as a pdf file.
2. Organization, content, grammar, spelling and overall neatness of project report will be considered and
graded.
3. Name the report file: yourgroupname-MTH3340-SPSS-PROJECT.pdf
4. Grade deductions will be made for late projects.
5. Please note policy regarding plagiarism. Please give credits to the resources that you referenced.
6. You should sign the cover page, scan it and include it in the report.
7. This report should be uploaded to Blackboard. The deadline for this report is Wednesday April 19,
2017 before midnight.

Your report should be organized as follows:

1. COVER PAGE (use the one provided below. It should be signed by all members. Take a picture of
your signature and insert the JPEG file into your WORDS document)
2. TABLE OF CONTENTS
3. INTRODUCTION
Overview of your topic of study
(for example if your topic is on phonesdiscuss briefly about phones)
Include literature review on your topic i.e. do some research on similar study (studies)
done on this topic and reference your sources. Should include at least two studies.
Statement of the problem and purpose of the study
Your research questions / claims

4. METHODOLOGY
What is the Population and sample
Sampling method: how the sample was chosen (do not use convenience sampling
method)
Data collection method: how was the data collected?
Demographic details (charts and tables) the respondents profile / background.

5. FINDINGS / OBSERVATIONS (These are findings from your Lab Assignments. Make sure you
explain all your findings).
Descriptive statistics (charts and tables) and numerical measures. All tables and
graphs should be labeled properly and explained.
Estimation of means using confidence interval
Hypothesis testing of mean
Comparisons of means using hypothesis testing
Correlation and linear regression analysis
Test of association between two nominal data
Comparison of means using ANOVA analysis.

6. CONCLUSIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS/SUMMARY
Summary of your findings
The conclusions that you gathered
The recommendations.
All these should relate back to the purpose of your study and your research questions / claims.
