Designing, testing and managing an effective intranet

Designing, testing and managing an effective intranet

The intranet has the potential to be an important communication, knowledge and information sharing tool for public sector organisations.

However, intranet managers in the public sector are continuously facing challenges in serving a wide variety of stakeholders, often in
disparate locations and with multiple agendas. Adding to this challenge is the complication of working with often limited funding based on
departmental priorities, restricting the scope and efficacy of options with which to create a comprehensive online resource.

By prioritising the user, embracing emerging technologies such as web 2.0 applications and implementing effective governance, an
intranet that is innovative, effective and user-friendly can be produced.

This two-day interactive forum will provide you with an opportunity to interact with the masterclass leaders and other attendees to really
gain a better understanding of how to:
ƒƒ Align your intranet with organisational goals
ƒƒ Achieve organisation-wide engagement
ƒƒ Understand what’s involved in the design process
ƒƒ Select the tools and technology that meet your organisation’s needs
ƒƒ Optimise your intranet’s accessibility, functionality and usability
ƒƒ Maximise the use of your intranet, regardless of your budget
You’ll leave this interactive forum enthused and full of ideas to integrate into your organisation’s intranet.
