EFERGY ENERGY MONITORING SOCKET INSTRUCTIONS

You must read the EFERGY Energy Monitor Loan Scheme Information document
containing Teams & Conditions and Health & Safety information before borrowing the
energy monitor.

The Efergy Energy Monitoring socket measures the energy efficiency of your plug-in appliances.
Track the kilowatts used by your appliances and find how much they are costing you. You can then
reduce the use of a costly appliance or replace it with a more efficient one.

THIS MONITOR IS NOT TO BE LOANED TO ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18. DO NOT LET CHILDREN PLAY
WITH THIS EQUIPMENT. DO NOT LEAVE THIS EQUIPMENT UNATTENDED IN THE PRESENCE OF CHILDREN.
To set up

1. Before use the power supply must be visually inspected and not used if there is any damage. Please
be careful when storing the equipment not to damage it in any way.
2. Plug in the device to an electrical socket.
3. Plug in any household device into the Efergy Energy monitoring socket.

Ensure you have your tariff information from your electricity bill

You may have only one tariff (approximately 10-15p per kw) or you may have more if you have a
cheap overnight deal.

Setting up a Single Tariff

1. Press and hold the COST button, the currency symbol will flash.
2. Use the up and down keys to choose . Press COST to set
3. Use up and down to choose TARIFF 1. Press COST to set.
4. Use up and down to set the tariff cost. Press COST to move onto the next digit.
5. Repeat until you have entered each digit. Press COST to exit.

Setting up a Dual Tariff

Follow instructions 1 and 2 but then select DUAL TARIFF

1. Use the up and down button to set a start time for tariff 1, press COST to move onto next
digit.
2. Repeat process to set TARRIF 2 start time.
3. Use same process as above to set separate costs for tariff 1 and 2.
4. Press COST to exit.

It will display the consumption in watts and the cost per year. You can also view the
accumulative cost and the cost per day by pressing the COST button.

Setting the Time

1. Press and hold the up button.

2. Press energy to begin setting the time, one digit at a time.
3. Use up and down to set each digit.
4. Press energy to confirm and COST to exit.

Warning: Do not use plug if socket looks unstable or if you have wet hands.
