Time Instructional Procedures and Strategies


Beginning the Lesson
I will start the class by telling a personal story about faithfulness, which may
5-10m grab their attention. And then, I will let them to write several faithful people
mentioned in the Old Testament. Students will share why they think these
certain people are faithful to God.

Developing the Lesson


-Start with devotion, a students will be asked to pray for every student.
-Introduce the background of the time of Abraham.
-Reading the Bible story and share the background of Abraham including,
where was he born,
What do his family do, how come did he leave his homeland and went to a
totally strange place.
-list the things Abraham has done, for example, he obeyed God when God
told him to sacrifice his only son-Isaac.
-Students are assigned into groups and each group has 3-4 people. After I
finish reading the story of Abraham. Students need to find all the evidence
that prove his faithfulness. Also, they need to talk about the question How to
live a faithful life? In the end of the discussion, each group has one person
who represent the whole group and this person will answer the question
based on what they have discussed.

Closing the Lesson


I will summarize the lesson by answering these questions on my perspectives.
I will give them a certain bible chapters and a guiding question about what I will
talk about next class. Students need to spend time after class to answer the questions
and finished bible reading.
