how to use the tool 2) In the middle of the screen you see the world GO in a green circle; click it
3) You will be transferred to a different screen,

5) You will already be in the group but you will need to send out the link to invite
your classmates

7) Once they type the URL in, the group can start to collaborate using technology
8) There is also a chat log that the students can communicate between each other
9) The students are write on the whiteboard to collaborate. The teacher can also use
this as a tool in her classroom
Ideas for how the tool * With SOL 2.4 in Science, the student will investigate and understand that plants
can be used in PK-12 and animals undergo a series of orderly changes as they mature and grow. Key
concepts include a) animal life cycles; and b) plant life cycles. The students can all
work together to make different animal life cycles (starting with different animals)
and create a plant life cycle. As they are making the life cycles, they can write a
description of each step in the cycle. * With SOL 3.5 in Social Studies, the student
will develop map skills by a) positioning and labeling the seven continents and five
oceans to create a world map; b) using the equator and prime meridian to identify the
Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Hemispheres. The student or teacher can
put up a blank map on Twiddla and the students can label and positions where the
continents, oceans, the equator, and the prime meridian belong. * With SOL 5.4 in
reading, the student will expand vocabulary when reading. c) Use knowledge of
roots, affixes, synonyms, antonyms, and homophones. The students can use Twiddla
to compare and contrast their knowledge or they can make list of what goes under
each label.
Positives and Positive: * You dont have to have to sign up all you have to do is invite people to
challenges of using the meeting *Each person has a different color to keep them apart *different mark-up
the tool features (draw, text, shapes, and media) *You can also group chat *mark up a
Microsoft document, webpage or video *teachers can get a free account if they
contact Twiddla Challenges: *You cant save your work as a guest, but you can if
you have an account *after 30 days, you have to pay at least $14/month *Anyone can
erase work. I dont like this because what if someones input is not how another
person wanted it and then they erase it. That is not working together or collaborating

Ideas for how the tool *SOL K.2 in science, the student will investigate and understand that humans have
can be used in PK-12 senses that allow them to seek, find, take in, and react or respond to information in
order to learn about their surroundings. Key concepts include a) the five senses and
corresponding sensing organs. The students can use the mind map to list out all the
scenes and what they are used for. They can also add pictures as well. *In an SOL for
8th grade, the students can use the mind map to use a character chart to describe facts
about that character. *In GOVT.7 The student will demonstrate knowledge of the
organization and powers of the national government by a) examining the legislative,
executive, and judicial branches; b) analyzing the relationships among the three
branches in a system of checks and balances. The student was use it to show the
branches and their duties (check and balanced).
Positives and Positive: *its simple to use *real life collaborating tool *being able to save and share
challenges of using the work Challenges: *if you dont have the package, you cant save the work
the tool *could be too hard for a young child (might be too much work) *in order to do the
free trail, you have put in a credit card

5)You will then be asked to title the map with the assigned topic, once you have done
that, hit finish

7)A list will pop up of different things you can do, you will want to click on the 5th
one
8)Here is when you pick the date and time of the meeting
9)Once the meeting is started the students can collaborate

can be used in PK-12 origins, transformations, and uses. Key concepts include c) nonrenewable energy
sources; d) renewable energy sources. They will use the map to show differences and
give examples of each. * SOL 4.5 in English, the student will read and demonstrate
comprehension of fictional texts, narrative nonfiction texts, and poetry. They can
collaborate to tell the main details, key points, and characters of what book they read.
*SOL 3.11 in civics, the student will explain the importance of the basic principles
that form the foundation of a republican form of government byd) describing how
people can serve the community, state, and nation. The students will work together to
get ideas on how they can serve their community, state, and nation

challenges of using live streams) *chose different graphs to choose from *saves all work for you
the tool Challenges: *to many option kids could get confused *glitches on website
