Brennan: Although I agree with the overall flipped classroom method discussed by Kurt up to a point, I cannot accept his overall
research that the flipped classroom method is more beneficial to students just by looking at the statistics of quizzing and testing
scores.

Pierce: I'm of two minds about Fitzsimmons claim that there is a need for liberal arts education in the modern university.. On the
one hand, I agree that it allows students to think outside of their habitual frameworks about who they are.. On the other hand, I'm
not sure if students would want to pay the money for the extra classes, when they could just take the necessary classes for their
major and get out of school.

Justin: I think the author is mistaken in their belief that flipped classrooms are the way of the future because they overlook the
potential of a student not fully understanding an idea or concept and not being able to get the professor to clarify what they are
saying to them.

Synthesis of Chart:
Although authors such as Fitzsimmons are behind the idea that a liberal arts education is a necessity in college education, others such
as Chen and Kurt suggest that this education be taught in the idea of a flipped classroom, as this is the way of the future of colleges.
Through our personal experience, many liberal arts courses we have been through have used a form of the flipped classroom. After
completing the course, we felt that the flipped classroom was not as beneficial as advertised. Although Kurts article shows that test
scores may show how a flipped classroom is successful, test scores do not show our true understanding of a topic but only how well
we are able to memorize a topic.
