RE: REQUEST FOR DATA FOR PROJECT WORK

A formal request for data for research purposes is hereby made.
We are Actuarial science students from the University of Nairobi
undertaking a research project in Insurance under the topic
Valuation of a Risk Premium.

We have selected to focus on ICEA Lion Group due to its diverse

portfolio and rich history.

Accordingly, we request for data in various risk classes for

example in general insurance, property insurance and life
insurance. Our target is to use at least 4 risk classes. This data
will cover the respective claim amounts and also amount of
business in a particular year while also being spread over 5 years
of business for example year 2005-2011.

Our aim is to apply valuation techniques we learned in our

lectures on the data and make conclusions on the appropriate
improvements and alternatives needed and available.
