When the man woke up, he found that he had learnt that supplication by heart; therefore, he hurried to the h

Sothathebecomeshelplessandisweaktoriseupinthatinwhichlieshisbettermentandwhatw
theresponsibilityofthefulfillmentofhisneedsandkeepaneyeonallhisaffairs.IndeedYou,ify
relativeshewouldbedeprived.Andiftheygivehimtheywouldgivelittleandless.Andiftheyp

Qulillaahummamaalikalmulkitu-tilmulkamantashaa-uwatanziulmulkamimmantashaa-uwa
kullishai-inqadeer.ToolijulLailafinnahaariwatoolijunnahaarafillailiwatukhrijulhayyamin
hisaab.Rahmaanaddunyaawalaakhiratiwaraheemahumaatuteeminhumaamaatashaa-uwa
Say:OAllah,MasteroftheKingdom!ThougivestthekingdomtowhomsoeverThoupleasestan
whomThoupleasestandabasestwhomThoupleasest;inThinehandisthegood;surely,Thouha
makestthedaytopassintothenight,andThoubringestforththelivingfromthedeadandThoub

Thenevenifyourdebtsequalthewholeworldfullofgold,Allahwouldcauseittobeliquidated.

When you enter your house, say Salam (salute) whether there is someone therein or there is none.

Fromar-Reza(a.s.)fromhisforefathersfromAli(a.s.)thathesaid:TheMessengerofAllah(s.a.w
wealthbyit,andpovertywillberemovedandthedoorofpovertywillbeclosedwhilethedooro

Laailaahaillallaahulmalikulhaqqulmubeen.

ThereisnogodexceptAllah,theTrueandManifestRuler.

It is said in traditions to recite the above thirty times for removing poverty and getting prosperity.[9

through granting me excessive

sustenance whose joy may divert

or through giving me very little

due to which my painstaking

yaquru bi`amal kadduh
efforts fail to meet my needs
 and due to which my heart is

filled with grief.

(Please) give me, O my God, an

that makes me dispense with Your

ghinan `an shirri khalqika
evil creatures

wa balghan anlu bih and makes me attain Your

riwnaka pleasure.

wa a`dhu bika yilh min I pray Your protection, O my God,

sharri aldduny against the evil of this world

wa sharri mfh and the evil therein.

wa ltaj`al `alayya Do not cause this world to be like

alddunysijnan prison for me
 and do not cause my departure
wa lfirqah`alayya uznan
from it to be grief for me.

and my deeds are accepted by

wa afi' `ann nra man extinguish the fire of whoever has

shabba l waqdah collected its wood against me,

save me from the trickeries of the

alkafarati disbelievers,

wakfin hamma man adkhala save me from the grief of

`alayya hammah whoever has grieved me,

wadfa` `ann sharra defend me against the evil of the

wa`imn min dhlika bilssak protect me against all that
nati through tranquility,

wa albisn dir`aka alanata dress me Your invulnerable armor,

cause me to live under the shade

of Your protective covering,

wa ali l l set aright all of my affairs,

make congruous my words and

wa addiq qawl bifi`l
my deeds,

and bless my family members for

wa brik l f ahl

begged,

O most ample-giver of all those

who may give,

and cause me to receive

sustenance from Your Presence,
 for You have power over all
innaka `al kulli shay'in qadrun

y rziqa almuqillna O Sustainer of the impoverished,

wa y rima almaskni O Compassionate to the poor,

wa y waliyya almu'minna O Patron of the believers,

wa y dh alquwwati almatni and O Lord of power and strong,

alli `al muammadin wa ahli (please) send blessings upon

baytih Muammad and his Household,

provide me with sustenance,

warzuqn wa `fin
grant me wellbeing,
 and save me from what has
wakfin m ahamman
distressed me.

There is neither might nor power

l awla wa l quwwata ill billhi
except with Allah.
tawakkaltu `al alayyi alladh I put my trust in the Ever-living
l yamtu (Lord) Who never dies.

walamdu lillhi alladh lam All praise is due to Allah, Who has
yattakhidh waladan not taken a wife or a son

wa lam yakun lah sharkun f and Who has not have a partner
almulki in the kingdom,

wa lam yakun lah waliyyun min and Who has not have a helper to
aldhdhulli save Him from disgrace;

and magnify Him with all

let the superfluity of Your graces

who are in want for what is

medicate the malady of my

wa dwi d'a faqr bidaw'i falika poverty with the remedy of Your
favors,

wan`ash ar`ata `aylat refresh my dead dearth with Your

biawlika conferrals,

wa taaddaq `aliqll bikathrati give as alms to my scarcity Your

`a'ika profuse gifts,

and give to my shortage Your

wa `alikhtill bikarmi ib'ika
generous grants.

wa sahhil rabbi sabla alrrizqi O my Lord, pave the way of

ilayya sustenance towards me,
 strengthen its foundations with
wa thabbit qaw`idah ladayya
me,

make the fountains of Your

wa bajjis l `uyna sa`atih
expansive mercy to gush out for
biramatika
me,

make the rivers of opulent living

wa fajjir anhra raghadi al`ayshi
qibal bira'fatika
to flow before me, out of Your
clemency,

cause the land of my poverty to

wa ajdib ara faqr
be barren,

wa akhib jadba urr fertilize my barren harsh paucity,

hold off all obstacles against

warif `ann f alrrizqi al`aw'iqa
gaining my sustenance,
waqa` `ann min alqi and cut off any relationship
al`al'iqa between destitution and me.

O Allah, target at me the most

productive arrows of opulent

and to confer upon me with

bilttaysri generosity through facilitation of
my affairs.
 O Allah, make the sky of Your
wa amir allhumma `alayya sustenance shower me with large
sam'a rizqika bisijli alddmi quantities of the water of Your
heavy clouds,

make me too rich to need Your

wa aghnin `an khalqika
creatures through Your repetitive
bi`aw'idi alnni`ami
conferrals of favors,

throw deadly shots at the

warmi maqtila al-iqtri minn vulnerable spots of my financial
deprivation,

carry the ridding of my misfortune

on behalf of me
`almayal-i`jli on the quickest riding animals,

and strike my distress, on behalf

ifli expansive favoring,

supply me with ever-growing

wamdudn binumuwwi al-amwli
properties,

safeguard me against the distress

warusn min qi al-iqlli
of paucity,

grasp against me the evil of

waqbi `ann s'a aljadbi
aridity,

extend before me the carpet of

wabsu l bisa alkhibi
fruitfulness,
wasqin min m'i rizqika serve me with copious dosages of
ghadaqan the water of Your sustenance,

wanhaj l min `ammi badhlika pave before me many paths of

uruqan Your massive abdications,

surprise me with wealth and

wa fji'n bilththarwati walmli
money

through which You may refresh

wan`ashn bih min al-iqlli
me from scarcity,

wa abbin bilistihri start my mornings with solvency,

wa massin bilttamakkuni min and start my evenings with ability

alyasri to meet my liabilities.
 Verily, You are the Lord of great
innaka dh alawli al`ami
bestowal,

walfali al`ammi massive favoring,

walmanni aljasmi and plentiful conferral,

and You are the All-magnanimous

wa anta aljawdu alkarmu
and All-generous.

O Allah, nothing has indeed left

wa qad qaddamtu lata alirmni

fa'anaas'aluka mlastaiqquh
I do not deserve,

I seek from You what I do not

wa ad`ka mlastawjibuh
merit,

wa ataarra`u ilayka and I implore You for what I do not

bimlasta'hiluh earn.

My situation is not concealed from

wa lam yakhfa `alayka l
You

although the actual knowledge of

wa in khafiya `alalnnsi kunhu
ma`rifati amr
my manners is hidden from
people.

O Allah, if my sustenance in the

allhumma in kna rizq f
sky, then (please) send it down to
alssam'i fa'ahbihu
me,
 if it is in the earth, then (please)
wa in kna f al-ari fa'ahirhu
show it to me,

if it is far off, then (please) draw it

wa in kna ba`dan faqarribhu
near me,

if it is near, then (please) make it

wa in kna qarban fayassirhu
easy for me to reach it,

and if it is little, then (please)

wa in kna qallan fakaththirhu
multiply it for me

wa brik l fhi and grant me its blessings.
