Student teachers will plan and implement one teaching session per week over six weeks with their Mentor Support Teacher (MST). Each session will integrate with the MST's weekly planning and include activities at three proficiency levels in literacy, numeracy, and a topic/theme. Sessions will incorporate indoor and outdoor activities, movement, art/craft, and multiliteracies. Student teachers will also lead daily circle times engaging children in personal, social, emotional development and post-reading activities. They will work with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator and MST to support children with learning difficulties.
