Scroll down
this page and you will see the U-Pick farms in Atlanta and surrounding counties in Georgia, sorted
by county. Those that offer organic or sustainably grown produce are identified by the words
"organic" and/or "sustainable" in Green, next to their name (see "What does Organic mean?"). The
U-pick crops they offer follow the name of the farm. To search the page for a specific crop, use Ctrl-F
(or on an ipad or Mac, use their "search on this page" function) If they have a website, the name will
be in blue and underlined; click on it and it will open their website. Beware of copycat websites (such
as the one that starts with "pickit" and the one that ends with ".farms"; they do not update their
information, they just steal it from us once in a great while (they are plagiarists operating in Russia
and China), so theirs are usually out-of-date -and often copied incorrectly! I put dates to indicate
when we last received an update from each farm, and I make updates daily (each farm as their info
changes). See the customer and farmer menus at the top menu bar to submit updates and
corrections and help me keep each current!
And if you know of any I missed and want to add them or correct the information, please let me
know!

other resources from the drop down menus at the top of the page or the site search. If you have any

there 7/12/14 and there were lots and lots of fire ant mounds throughout the blueberry
bushes. One small child was viciously attacked and my 10 year old son was bitten a few
times. I highly recommend closed shoes and long socks."
A visitor writes on July 27, 2013: "I always talk to the owner each year when I go to pick
blueberries. He never used to have to spray his blueberries but last summer (2012), he said
he had to start spraying at the beginning of the season. He told me he tries to minimally
spray. Also, he does not use pesticides on any of the produce he grows."

spray their blueberries, but they just said they sprayed their bushes three weeks ago. "
Comments from a visitor on July 22, 2011: "I just returned from my 2nd time picking
blueberries this summer at this farm. There are lots of blueberry bushes and the rows are

incorrect. She says they are out of figs."

(Watkinsville,2010) and this year (Loganville,2011). Both farms have lots of delicious
strawberries for $10/gallon ($1 for bucket but can bring your own containers and transfer).
Friendly people; great for kids."
Comments from a visitor on July 01, 2009: "We went to the Washington farm location that
is in Watkinsville to pick blueberries, and they were so kind. Me and my family had SUCH a
good time. My daughter in only 18months old and at a bunch of blueberries and they didn't
get mad or upset, even though I said I would pay for more than what we picked, they told us
not to worry about it. It was really family friendly and we will DEFINITELY be going back. "

Comments from a visitor on July 16, 2012: "I've been picking blueberries every summer
with , from their website)my kids for over 10 years, and our experience at Mr.Mark
Ransbotham's blueberry farm was the best picking we have ever done here in Georgia. Our
usual farms were either closed or our of berries, so I called Cool Springs before heading out
to Gainesville. Mr. Ransbotham was so kind and informative on the farm that I was sure I had
found a hidden jem. The drive and the farm are beautiful. We walked into the office where Mr.
Ransbotham told us about where to pick the berries and gave us harnesses that held our
buckets as we picked. The kids were hopeful and excited to see the field where we would be
enjoying our morning. I was so very impressed that the owner walked us out to the section
and kindly told us that if we couldn't find enough berries then we could go to his other field.
The blueberry bushes are young and approximately 3 feet tall and just loaded with gorgeous
blueberries. The kids loved how they were spaced and how nicely they were spaced. Our
favorite part was the fact that several of the bushes were in the shade and we could either sit
on the ground or use one of the orange buckets to sit on as we picked. When it was time to
pay for our berries (only $10 for a bucket) Mr. Ransbotham told us all about the different
varieties that we picked. In the fall and spring you can purchase blueberry bushes which is a
wonderful service. In addition to blueberries, the farm offers cold drinks to make the travel
home a little easier. We will definitely be back, and I strongly recommend this blueberry as
perfect for families of all ages. I truly wish I had known about this little piece of paradise
before now!"

Comments from a visitor on July 07, 2010: "The best I've been to. The hour drive is quite
long but well worth it. There are several farms closer, but none match the quality. They water
the plants two hours every day, and the health of the plants shows it. The blueberries are the
largest I've seen, many the size of small grapes. The bushes are absolutely loaded. They cut
them back every year so that the plants don't get too tall to pick them easily. And in the
mornings, there is some shade, which is really nice when the weather is hot. And at $7 a
gallon, very good priced."

A visitor writes on June 30, 2013: "I visited the Buffalo Creek Farm today, June 30, 2013
with my four kids, ages 7 - 10 (yes, that includes a set of twins) and we thought the farm was
just wonderful. We chose Buffalo Creek because they had peaches, raspberries,
blackberries and blueberries and with four kids, they couldn't agree on just one kind, so this
was perfect. The day we went, the peaches were not "pick your own," but they had some
picked for you to buy. They did have rows and rows of blueberries - we could have picked all
day long, and we didn't get there until almost noon because we drove in from Atlanta. We
also picked full gallons of raspberries and blackberries! Now my only problem is what to do
with all of the beautiful fruit we picked! The owners couldn't have been nicer. They were
wonderfully sweet to my children and didn't mind if they ate some of the berries as we
picked. Also, there were real bathrooms, not port-a-potties. The whole place was beautifully
maintained and lovingly kept with bushes overflowing with fruit. Cannot recommend this farm
enough! We'll be back next year!"
Comments from a visitor on July 18, 2010: "My wife and I were celebrating her birthday
today, July 18th 2010, and she wanted to go to a peach farm as well as a blueberry farm. we
checked all over the internet and found several within 75 miles of Suwanee,Ga. After
checking out several of the farms and the comments left by customers we were concerned
that we might go to a farm where the owners/managers would not have good customer
service, or the farm might be in need of some lawn, poison ivy maintenance. Boy, were we
surprised when we arrived at Buffalo Creek Berry Farm. The farm was in very good
condition. The peach trees were in excellent condition and the blueberry bushes had been
properly trimmed for the maximum output of berries as well as no poison ivy, and no tall
grass on the farm. You could tell that the owners really cared about their farm as well as you,
their customer. This farm is the best hidden secret this side of Georgia. Always call first, but
you will not be disappointed with their peaches, blueberries or their true hospitality. "

"Hard Labor Creek Blueberry Farm is a wonderful farm and I really don't believe that I will ever go
to any other. I have grown blueberries before in my home garden, so I really appreciated the fact
that they listed the varieties available at their farm. Once there it was a totally pleasant
experience. The rows were mowed neatly down and in between- That made so there were a lot
less bugs and especially many less ant hills to potentially step into. There were virtually no
mosquitoes-and the owner said he believed that was due to the fact that they have a lot of purple
martins (since they put up purple martin houses!) They also provided buckets and plastic bags. It
was just a real nice experience. There were at least 20 cars and people were not running into
each other in the rows--blueberries were beyond plentiful. Children were running up and down the
rows squealing with delight. It was a really nice place. Should I say really again? They should get
an A***, plus the husband/wife team were very nice, sincere people."
