commitment to empowering communities and building a greener tomorrow.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is embedded in the Tata Power Solar ethos,
and ties in with their core business of promoting economically and environmentally
sustainable solar power products. At Tata Power Solar they go that extra mile to
empower the communities they touch, with more than just solar power.

Some of the programs taken up by Tata Power Solar under these defined pillars:

VIDYA:
Promoting Girl Child Education
A team of volunteers conducted health & hygiene awareness campaign along with a
certified doctor at the Government High School for girls at Bandapura village and
donated sports kits.
Promoting Primary Education
Volunteers from Tata Power Solar visited the Government Primary School at
Bommasandra and taught English to the primary school students. They also
donated English-to-Kannada dictionaries to the students. The school was also
supported with reading desks & library equipment for education improvement.
Lamp Donation Drive
Tata Power Solar donated solar lamps to underprivileged children at Naomundi
project site. The solar lamps will help children study even after dusk.
Learning from the Sun
This is a unique program developed by Tata Power Solar, to spread awareness about
solar technology & helping the next generation take steps towards creating a
greener future. These students get a chance to visit the Tata Power Solar office
(Electronics City) and understand about how solar energy works. In a short span
since this program started, we have infused green enthusiasm in more than 200
students.

SAMRIDDHI:
Women Empowerment
A team of volunteers delivered a training program on tailoring & donated sewing
machines, ensuring self-employment for six women, benefiting 6 families of the G.S
Palya village in Bangalore.
Supporting the Old
A team of volunteers from Tata Power Solar visited Belaku Vridhaashrama in
Bangalore - an old age home. Volunteers donated the essential livelihood
commodities & interacted with the senior residents who shared their life's
experience with them.
Chennai Flood Relief
Employees at Tata Power Solar donated essential commodities to the flood affected
people through the Tata Sustainability Group. Two employees volunteered -
personally in the relief activities at the flood relief sites, facilitating the rehabilitation
efforts.

AROGYA:
Blood Donation Drive
Volunteers of Tata Power Solar donated blood during the blood donation campaign
organized at our manufacturing facility. The blood collected can help save precious
lives during emergencies.
Sanitation Facilities at Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu
The community at the Muttom village has lacked sanitation facility or convenience
for men, women & the young. Tata Power Solar is building a solar power at
Nagapattinam and alongside has developed sixteen toilets as per the WHO standard
for the families residing there.

AKSHAY:
Environment Protection by Tree Sapling Plantation
Tata Power Solar volunteers planted 160 tree saplings at the employees dwellings
and the employees committed themselves towards growing the sapling into trees
with care.
Swach Bharat Abhiyaan
A team of volunteers conducted Swatcha Abhiyaan campaigns at four different
Government Schools in Thirupalya, Gollahalli, Anekal & Sai layout, educating the
students on the need of the hygiene for a healthy life. Our employees conducted
cleaning drive personally in & around the school campus and also encouraged the
students to participate in the cleaning drive. The volunteers also donated the
cleaning supplies & equipment for the sustenance of the cleanliness campaign.
